First time here, I saw there story the other day on the news & I had to make that hour drive over to see this place.. I love local family own businesses so I'm always looking for places to try while I'm out & about. Folks the outside & inside is definitely a turn off so I was iffy about everything, so I only got the pulled pork bought 1 pound of that for $15 witch wasn't too bad at all, the gentleman who was gathering the orders let me get some of the vinegar & BBQ base dressing, the vinegar base is ok need some more vinegar for sure, I'm just used to eastern Carolina bbq witch is nothing but vinegar base but folks that BBQ aka red sauce is on point it got a little kick but it's definitely DELICIOUS.. Yo that pulled pork is definitely made with LOTS of LOVE, it was moist from the start to the end, I'll definitely be making the trip back here & will be trying the rest of that deliciousness coming out of that kitchen..
I am truly excited about the reopening of TBBQ. However, I was extremely disappointed with the babyback ribs. I spent $67 for a meal and the ribs were not only cold but burnt and overcooked. I usually send parishioners there because the food is normally tasty. The mac and cheese was too salty. Bottom line is that I had to visit another local restaurant in Lexington and purchased another complete meal suitable for my wife and I to eat. I will give this place another chance and the benefit of the doubt. I will blame it on the fact that it was the first day of reopening and perhaps new staff. The owner us friendly like always and he certainly gets a five star. One more thing. I waited two hours before my number was called.
The best BBQ in town. The hash is the best I've ever had. I've never had bad food from True BBQ. The people are nice also.
Tried the chopped pork dinner with hash, rice, and greens. The pork was so flavorful and moist. No sauce needed. They serve you a lot of food for the price. I’ll be bringing family and friends when they come to visit. My best bite of BBQ yet!
Best bbq around and great customer service. Great food at a great price! Will definitely be back!
I've eat here a few time and everything was good but the last time the ribs was dry as if they were a day or 2 old. So this was they're one time. I'll be checking my order before leaving from now on. By the way the potato salad is pretty good.
Chopped BBQ was good. Ribs were very dry.
Service was friendly and the Hash and Rice was very good.
I'm a Country Boy and they really do have some of the best Hash and Rice I have every had??
My 1st time here today. The food was excellent! The service and the crew were great also.
