Food was great as always. Staff was even better. They were obviously short handed due to COVID, but they still have excellent and cheerful service. Thanks
I can't complain much on the food..I just wish they'd add more to their menu and get better candied yams. I'm sure the yams are from the can but with a little work they can be made to taste some what better. Nothing like cutting sweet potatoes and doing it yourself though.
I know LT has been around for years and I have always heard good things but for me it was just okay. My first visit they mucked my order up. As I was leaving the parking lot, a waitress ran me down to inform me she believed I had the wrong order. I didn't check before leaving because hey they seemed like competent people when I placed my order. They corrected my order and apologized but the food itself was just mediocre. Potato salad was overloaded with mayo and I swear it tasted like the same southern style potato salad that Kroger sells. The mac and cheese was okay, nothing to write home about. My ham was extremely salty, over cooked which made it dry and somewhat hard to chew. The cabbage was a little bitter, and the sweet tea was a joke, I had to load it up with sugar. Second visit, the fried chicken was over cooked, dry and lacked seasoning. I could taste seasoning in the skin but the meat didn't taste like it had any. And each visit I had no plasticware that came with the order. Pretty sure I won't be returning for a 3rd visit.
What flavoring do you put in everything there? Is it liquid smoke? IDK but please stop. The collards & creamed corn taste so horribly at this location. My other family members tasted it on their veggies too. Your other locations don't do this

The staff was friendly from the get go! We sat down right away when we went in for breakfast with a family of 5. And the food we ordered was done and in front of us ready to eat in less than 15mins! All of the food we ordered was amazing and very tasty. The price of our whole bill was very modest and did not give me the feeling of being over priced at all!
Lizards Thicket first-timer here...I'm a tough critic when it comes to good down-home southern food. I ordered fried catfish, smoked sausage, mac and cheese, collards, cabbage, potato salad and banana pudding. The smoked sausage was the best I've had! Hands down THEE best flavor, perfectly seasoned and crisp!! The catfish was "okay" nothing to brag about, but also nothing to complain about. They definitely could've seasoned the collards and cabbage a bit more, tasted very bland. The mac n cheese was excellent!!!!Potato salad was very mayonnaise-ish, I probably won't order that again, wayyyy too much mayo for me. The banana pudding was on point! I loved it!!! The prices were good compared to portion sizes and take-out service was pretty quick. Overall, great experience, so I'll definitely order here again when I'm in town!
Chicken was so old it was very tough and dry. Chicken fried steak was cold. Never got our bread. Fried okra was hard as croutons. About 7 pm when we went. Just couldn't eat our meal it was so nasty.
Great restaurant, and great service. Only one server for the entire restaurant. But she wasn't playing around. ? Food was great! Had the Southern Fried Catfish, collards, and cabbage... Cause I'm Southern... ? It was all so good. Oh... Fried okra as well! Go!
I was very upset ordered in the drive threw and have never in the 20 plus years I've been coming to this location have I ever been treated so Rudely. There were two females working and they acted like I was putting them out on their talking with each other by ordering food. I paid with cash and tried speaking with the first girl and she never acknowledged what I said. The second opened up the window and seemed like she threw my food at me. I ask if the extra butter and side of gravy were in bag as she was shutting the window and she barked back at me then closed the window. I sat there and waited for her to open back to ask if plastic silverware was included she shut the window grabbed some and again threw them at me without saying a word. When I arrived home I realized they gave me extra. I've worked for this company years ago and ordered food at this location over 1,000 times. I have never been treated so bad. This location already struggles for business. Def think these girls should be replaced!! There was no reason for the treatment
