Would definitely give this place a 2 star rating, but since the food was delicious - I'll rate it a 3. My boyfriend and I decided to dine in today and ordered 2 small margaritas and once we got them and tasted them, you couldn't even taste the "house tequila" in them at all. So we told our waiter and he simply decides to shrug his shoulders and proceeded to say, "we can add another shot in it for $4" and for $4 just for an extra shot - we asked him to take the drinks off and we would just order sweet tea. So he then says something along the lines like it was too late and we are stuck with paying for the drinks that we were not pleased with so at this point I'm frustrated and so is my boyfriend so we asked to speak with the manager and the waiter says there isn't a manager. LOL! So my boyfriend was just like let's go somewhere else and he would go ahead and pay for the drinks. Once he said that, then the waiter decides that he can take the margaritas off our bill. Anywho, customer service is big to me and we received poor customer service.
We were not expecting fine dining here. The staff was friendly, the food was okay. Our daughter said her tacos were lacking any flavor or "tasted like nothing," but the rest of the food was okay. If you are looking for the typical tex-mex, come here. It wasn't the best food we have ever had, but it also wasn't the worst and the service was really good! So middle of the road on this one!
I had the Tacos Carne Asada with beef and the beef was overcooked and tough. These were the driest Tacos I have ever eaten. Adding the salsa for the chips to them and the extra cheese I paid for didn't help. The beef was not seasoned. They had too much cilantro on top for me and I would never order this again. This was my first time here and I will try the restaurant again but definitely not anything beef or Tacos related. The prices are comparable to similar restaurants. They provided me with a dessert and it was light with mild sweetness. It was a shell with cinnamon, chocolate sauce and whipped cream on top. My server was okay. She didn't go out of her way to WOW me, just okay.
I was visiting my father at the hospital across the street from La Figata and decided to stop in for dinner as it was close by. Man am I so glad we did! From the homemade salsa brought to our table as soon as we sat to the entrees we ordered, everything tasted fresh, well seasoned, and authentic. We enjoyed our meal so much we stopped in for lunch the next day!
Lovely staff, very attentive and professional. Good standard menu with daily specials. Family atmosphere and festive music on the speakers. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. It was a very pleasant dining experience.
We love to come here. We always order the Texas Fajitas. Today we noticed that the flavor from the fajitas wasn't there. The dish look was very good as usual, cooked the way I like but looked like they didn't add any seasoning at al. Chilli powder, cayenne pepper, paprica, or even salt was missing from the whole dish. Hopefully on our next visit we have a better experience with the fajitas seasoning. All else was as good as usual: the waitress, the timing between ordering food and food on the table.
Wonderful food and great service. Very friendly. Family friendly also. Best Mexican food We've had in a long time. Wish we had A LA Fogata in Jacksonville Florida.
Nice place. Good food. Friendly staff.
Friendly. Food was yummy. I had the chicken soup.
The food is always fabulous and the service is spot on!
