Fun atmosphere. Friendly service & delicious food.
Went to lunch today w 20 coworkers and the staff killed it! I want to especially thank our server Megan for the outstanding service she provided our group, we will definitely be back!
Great food, good atmosphere and awesome servers.
I Gave this restaurant 3 stars only because the waitress was really nice and on top of everything, the atmosphere outside seating was fantastic. Since it was a nice warm day, but the food Was terrible my ribs were tender but tasted old And warmed over. The best part of my lunch was the salad that came with my meal.I'm from New Jersey visiting military family and I would have expected better tasting ribs especially here in the South. Welp..on to the next one
So we working in Sumter normally twice a week and Willie Sue’s has become the go to place for both days! The service is always welcoming and the food ingredients are just great quality. There’s a 10.00 lunch menu that includes the (non alcoholic) drink as well! I would highly recommend this place to anyone! I always get the tenders in their buffalo sauce which is not a typical buffalo. Delicious!!
This was our first visit and though it wasn't perfect, we would probably return to give them another try to get it right. We went for lunch and when we were seated, the place was fairly empty still. After we ordered, the place filled up. Though we were at the front end of the rush, we had a long wait after we ordered until our food arrived. All in all, the food was pretty good, large portions and a fair price. Unfortunately, my Lunch Wrap was missing two main ingredients, the bean salsa and the spicy ranch, so I had a boring basic chicken wrap. It tasted fine, but not what I had been expecting. The French Fries were very good and a huge amount. One person had to ask for her salad after her food arrived. All in all, it could and should have been better.
This place is always busy and why I wanted to visit it. Tphe portions are large, but the food is suited for a particular taste. It is greassy southern style of cooking. The caesar salad had a roll with condensed milk on it. I could not eat the briscit sandwich. The meat was rubbery and inedible. Again a common theme of the food is lots of grease and lots of starch. If you are looking for a healthy meal please do not come here. But even I wanted something tasty and unhealthy I would not come here because the meal was stomach turning rather enticing.
We stopped in, late Sunday morning and we were seated right away. The four of us opted for appetizers, to let out of towners sample southern fare, Everything was great and the shrimp topped fried green tomatoes were a big hit. Our server was very attentive and our food was hot and presented well. Our only disappointment was that there was no gator tail.
The wait was long... 45 minutes. Didn't seem like they were terribly busy, a lot of empty tables and booths. Maybe they don't have the help they need. Kaitlyn was our server. She was very good. Warm, friendly and attentive. I had a rib eye. The taste was good but for a ribeye, it was not as tender as I thought it should be. My wife had friend flounder and she said it tasted very good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Many other items on the menu to try so we will return.
They get a 2 because their salad was rather good. Most everything else was poor. This is becoming a place on-par with Applebees. The shrimp appetizer was “fried” but the breading and appearance looked more soggily microwaved. The sauce was the only part that added flavor. The coup de grace of disappointment was the tuna filet. The coast is drivable and the menu admonishment that it would be prepared above medium gave me hope they had fresh seafood and knew what they were doing. Oh no. What emerged was a tuna filet of unusual texture. Frozen? If so, sinful. Worse than this was the ABSOLUTE void of flavor. If blindfolded, I would have had no idea what I was eating. It is obvious that the proprietors underestimate their patrons’ palate and put a greater priority on their profit. They should be ashamed at this menu offering and remove it as a selection. Unfortunately, community standards don’t give them much in the way of competition, so they’ll probably continue the status quo.
