I travel for work. I visit numerous Starbucks all over the state of South Carolina. I just received the worst customer service and major bad attitude at a Starbucks that I’ve ever had. I ordered a Hot vanilla latte and what I got was cold. Then when I asked if there was a way to heat the coffee up I was instructed that if I didn’t want it to be cold I should not have asked for foam on top of it. I ordered a vanilla latte and apparently that can’t be made hot at this store. I also had to wait for 15 minutes for a breakfast wrap that was not a wrap. It was hard as a rock on the outside and on the inside was cold. The best way I can describe it is as a hard and tasteless hot pocket. it should not be called a wrap. I know the name of the sandwich is not the stores fault, it is named by corporate, The so-called wrap had no taste.After asking if the coffee could be made hotter and getting the attitude that I did,I pitched both the sandwich and the drink and left the store. I wish I could say this was the first time I received poor customer service in the store but sadly it is not. However it will be the Last time as I will not stop at the Sumter store again.
Starbucks needs to work with there staff on customer service skills. If no one is in Starbucks and a mobile order was made 10min early and you show up and have to wait ten minutes practice on doing better. if the coffee girl does not know the policy for the Mobil orders it’s on line she can go and check it out and get better at her job. But being disrespectful to customers is not the way to move forward in your Job. You know who you are.
I’ve been a barista for Starbucks for over 10 years and been traveling the country codependent on Starbucks and this might be one of the worst locations. We arrived and waited for the store to open. They never opened the drive thru I asked if they weren’t using it and they said they forgot. There were 6 baristas all just standing around not enthusiastic about their job. The pastry case wasn’t ready. Sirens eye was no where near where it should be. And they had barely any of the supplies to operate. The coffee was made wrong and there was no way I was going to address it. Waste of my time and money. Don’t go here!
This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. I sat in the drive through line for nearly 30 minutes for a caramel Frappuccino and 3 cheese danishes. When I finally got the danishes, it took more an additional 3 minutes for them to hand me my drink. I was sitting right there watching the guy “look” for my drink and it was on the counter. This has become a repeat thing and as much as I love Starbucks, I am about to cross this location off of my list as a possible stop to make when I’m coming through Sumter.
Get here very early if you want anything! Took me over a month to get the spinach and feta wrap which was delicious. The past month or so when I ask for any food they’re always out by noon or have barely any left
This is absolutely the worst Starbucks experience I have ever had. Having traveled from coast to coast including Starbucks locations in retail locations and airports, this was the slowest service I have ever encountered.
My first ever visit to Starbucks started out a little shaky with a young guy, behind the counter not being able to answer any questions, then he just walked away, went in the back and never returned. A young lady took over, answered my questions and completed my order.
My coffee taste like just milk too sweet I had a double shot and I couldn't taste the coffee
I really enjoy this place, they are normally super nice/fun. Occasionally you'll have that one but who knows what kinda day they have been having. I really wish Sumter would put another one in, somewhere near McCrays Mill would be nice. I would say 90% of the time my drinks are correct, the other 10% gets corrected efficently. The onlh fault is the wait time and thats not the staffs problem but the overpopulation of the area has become a heavy burden on the only starbucks nearby. Keep up the great work guys!
This place sucks. Always extremely slow and out of items. They are rude and plan just don't care. They won't acknowledge your presence in the store. Waited almost an hour for 2 drinks. Not worth it! I even put in a Review with corporate and all they do is give you money. They need to change management and turn off mobile ordering. Management needs to whip this place into shape...it's simple customer service!!!!!
