Food was decent, we didn’t get any eggs in our fried rice, I don’t even know if I would call it fried rice because it’s was still partially white. When we brought it up to the owner and waitress the response from both was “oh well, we put egg in it you just can’t see it” they didn’t even offer to bring any out. And just curious did anyone else have stomach pain and diarrhea for 2-3 days after eating the sushi? Definitely never going back! P.S. I don’t even right reviews, had to after this one!

I was Charged an 18% gratuity charge without being notified. I asked about it and was told it's for parties of 3 or more. It was only me and my boyfriend and our two kids. How did they count? And then the waitress came and ask me why didn’t I leave her a tip. Very rude and unprofessional. I always tip off of service and the service was def not great!

My wife and I had a horrible experience last night, but not due to staff. The staff are always great and cook exactly what we ask for with a great time. Last night we were seated with a group of folks that half were from DC and I personally wanted to tell them to go back because they ruined the time my wife and I had. A few ordered sushi and wanted to taste test the food and say it wasn't what they ordered. Half the table complained about the rice being cooked and both chefs cooked it the same way. It was very rude when they started complaining about the food, yet all of them asked for to go plates. Moral of this review is, don't take your family that has no respect for others out to eat if they can't handle their "boujee" tail somewhere chill like Kobe in Sumter. You all did fantastic with this crowd. They were rude and you all handeled it greatly! Kobe, if I could give you 10 stars, I would! To the family we sat with last night, GO BACK TO DC AND ACT THAT WAY!

Charged an 18% gratuity charge without being notified. I asked about it and was told it's for parties of 3 or more. It was me, my husband and 2 kids. Kids shouldn't count as this. Was also told that they do this because not everyone tips and that tips are split between the servers and cooks. Not my problem. I tip regardless, but I also tip based on the service and the service here is not worth 18%. It's a shame, because the kids enjoy the show and the food is decent.

The server was awful. Then when she returned my paid bill folder, my card was missing and when I asked about it they didn’t help at all. Kept telling me to check my bag, and I explained to them that there was no card in it once returned. I still checked my bag to further let them know it’s missing. The food was nice but everything else was rushed and now I have to order a new card. Will not be returning. Literally spent $100+ there.

Told they charge gratuities for 3 or more people at the hibachi. Even if one or 2 of those people are babies. They say cause you share. But babies barely eat. And you end up taking half your food home. So what's it matter.. usually you pay a share fee.. but I've always shared I just do it after the foods cooked and after the dudes gone who cooked it. I'll just have to drive to Columbia to get hibachi.. and not be charged Gratuity for my family of 5..

Poor customer service! Waitresses rude and try to rush your meals. As soon as we got our food; we were instantly offered and given Togo boxes. Usually the restaurants that have cook's entertaining, they are a little more enthused..... our food was slung onto the plates sloppy & piled up. I had a better experience in West Virginia at their Kobe. This location also charges gratuity for the amount of ppl seating around the flat top. There were literally 5 different groups there & everyone was charged over $8 gratuity and we were even apart of the same grouping. I wouldn't have minded the gratuity if the service was decent. Not to.mention they charge you a fee to use your cards.. thats crazy! Then a debit card was missing at our table. The lack of concern and the responses that we received was flat out pitiful. After giving the card to pay the bill; the book and receipt were returned; but not the card. The waitress constantly had a smirk on her face while we stayed there over 30 mins asking them about the card and helping looking for it; even though it NEVER made it back to the table. Not to mention the waitress was giving ppl the wrong receipt books. Smh! Losing a card while out of town is totally INCONVENIENT; especially when you didn't loose it. The waitress never returned it. And what a coincidence that I get on here and read that other ppl have had the same issue with a waitress trying to steal their card their. Do BETTER !!!!and honor your customers....... their the ones that keep business flowing. I was disappointed and won't be back the next time I visit this area!

Fantastic sushi and hibachi. We love this location and the owners are really attentive and helpful. If you're looking for good quality Japanese food this is the ONLY place in Sumter to try

Service has awful!! Had to remind waitress to bring out soup and salad and Cook was not engaging. The portion size was very small compared to other like restaurants. In my opinion this restaurant is over priced and needs competition!! Also they add a 4% charge if you use a card!! This is not displayed on the door nor was it explained by our server. If you want a true experience drive to Columbia!!!

Wonderful experience, delicious food prepared before us while being entertained by our chef, so much fun!
