Ugh, I never write reviews but this place really disappoints. I had the steak fajita and my husband had the birria. The fajita steak was so tough it was not edible, and the birria was a soggy mess with no flavor. Our waitress was basically non existent. I gave two stars because I’ve eaten here before and loved it. Maybe it was just a bad day?
Was seated fast but waited for 25 min before anyone came to see us the wife and I didn't care much for the food wasnt very excited thays for sure
I'm originally from Southern California and this place is the closest I've gotten to authentic tacos!
PARENTS OF MINORS BEWARE!!!!! My family visited Tiki on Old Trolley today. It was not even slightly busy, as usual. We ordered an appetizer, our dinner, & drinks. My son ordered a VIRGIN piña colada because he’s a minor & he wanted something different. The drinks came after a long wait. My son tried his piña cola and it wasn’t Virgin. I tried to confirm. We asked for the manager and we’re told he was on break for thirty minutes. 40 plus minutes he came back. By then we had gotten our food with the appetizer coming after all the main food. The waitress offered free dessert but only my son took her up on it. They comped the ticket 10 whole dollars because you know serving a minor liquor is just a minor screw up. Then when the manager finally came to our table he tried saying we were accidentally served the alcoholic drink because there were several on the bar…. *insert sarcasm… You know…. Because they were so busy and that’s the #1 drink ordered…. Needless to say the manager did nothing but say “I’ll handle it.” I WILL NEVER go to this location again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The carne asada sopes are delicious and reasonably priced. My son enjoyed the burrito. Our waitress Becky was very friendly and introduced use to pina water which was sweet and refreshing.
No where near real mexican food....gave it two stars because the basic queso and chorizo was ok (it had a lot of grease in it)...the food was bland...ordered the birria tacos an was given watered down beef broth, not actual consommé. Mexican street corn was slightly over cooked and didn't taste like actual elote either. Just slabbed mayo, parmesan and tajin on corn on the cob. (I wiped everything off and just ate the corn). The strawberry daiquiri tasted like frozen fruit punch (no alcohol). Also, the waitress only came to check on us once and it was not busy at all.
Specifically asked for all dairy to be on the side for my vegan family. Get home open boxes and sour cream on every single one. Hubby torta was mostly jalapeno and barely any meat. However, the girl at the host stand was AMAZING and is the reason I'm giving more than 1 star. She was kind, knowledgeable and had great customer service.
I got recommended to this place when I got into town. I can say that the service was very terrible. The waitress and waiter both were slow, not busy at all when we came. It took over 20 minutes for our drinks. Finally got our food an hour and a half later. They waited until they were bringing out our food to tell another person in our group that they were out of what he had ordered. It was a very horrible experience.
Ok. This place is usually really good and fast. Ok. We went on May 5 but come on, you should be ready for a big crowd. We got there at around 6:30. Had to wait for at least 30 minutes. We went to the bar and got a drink after a 25 minute wait at the bar. We were sat down and then the long wait began. We waited and waited and waited for a nacho plate to come out. After finally asking our server she brought us some chips and salsa to appease us until our nachos came out. Ok. Nice. However, we got the nachos and after another wait and wait and wait we never got our order of 8 tacos. Really????!!!!! We were there from 6:45 until 8:45. We finally told our server to give us a take out order. Who wants to eat at 9:30 at night for dinner?! I don’t.Well that was waisted money because who wants to eat wilted toppings on tacos after they have been refrigerated and then reheated.We live right across the street but I am never going back!!
