Service: mehThai food: unfortunately I will keep looking for a great Thai place as it's my favorite genre of food and could tell as soon as I took a bite that spice level and seasoning was off. Ordered two staples for any Thai place that need to be solid pad Thai and drunken noodles. Long story short the food was NOT terrible but they shouldn't be afraid to cook authentic I feel like it is very watered down over all. Will try to give them another shot in the future but for know still looking for the perfect Thai place
Came to pick up my food 30 min after it was placed. Got a confirmation email and they charged my card. Get there, both doors locked, open sign off, about 10-15 Thai women in the restaurant have a karaoke party so I’m guessing they know the owner and booked private thing. However, they’re all eating food so someone that works there has to be there. But the funny thing is I knock on the door, window, get their attention, they see me and just keep laughing. It’s 7pm on a Monday night and they won’t answer their phone and they stole my money and don’t even have the decency to come to the door to give me a refund. I work in food service and this is absolutely unacceptable behavior. My family has been frequent customers but we will not be back. The food isn’t that good to be treated this way.Bottom line: THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. DO NOT EAT HERE.
This used to be a great place for Thai food. I have eaten here a couple of times since the first of the year and it has been disappointing both times. Pad Thai was overly sweet and, imho, not worth the $15 I paid for it. The Siriacha sauce came to the table in a dirty container(sticky on top, residue on the bottom), and the pad Thai was cloyingly sweet I had to add spice to cut the sweet. The green onions were mainly the tough tips and the peanuts were ground finer than what I am used to seeing in this dish. Service was ok, food came quickly. Taking this one off the rotation.
Great experience! Food was great and friendly service!
AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD!!!! We tried almost every Thai place here in town and this place is delicious. Finally somewhere to get real Thai food that is close to home. Owner is super friendly and service was great. I definitely will be stopping here more often. Best Thai food in Charleston area!
Finally an authentic Thai restaurant. I've tried many Thai restaurants here in Charleston and they were all not up to par. If you are craving Thai food this is the spot Thai Elephants II ? near downtown Summerville area in the Piggly Wiggly shopping center. They replaced another Thai place there that wasn't so great. Same spot new restaurant and owner. These people have a location in John Island and they opened a 2nd location here in Summerville. Owner is super sweet and mentioned she opened around a year and a half now but not many people know that they are new and assume it was the old Thai place. We ordered multiple dishes and they were all delicious! Definitely will be coming back :)
Visit for a late dining. They take us quickly and the food was awesome. Just the way we like , right on taste . And the waitress, she is super sweet and helpful. Highly recommend.Must try: som tam w crab (laos style), duck gang- panang!!!, tomyum soup, pla
Very good Thai with all the usual fare. Very clean and new-ish looking in a nice part of town. Plenty of parking because it shares a parking lot with Piggly Wiggly. Many (most?) Dishes on the menu had pics to give you a feel for what you're ordering if you are new to Thai food. This will probably be my default restaurant when I'm in Summerville.
appetizers were great, food was good. service was great but maybe she wasn’t having a great day. We received timely service, food came out accurately and at a decent speed, but for two adults and one child the bill was $65 subtotal, but she put 20% gratuity on there. when asked, she stated it was a tip for the kitchen too. I tip well but i don’t think it’s right to place an auto gratuity on a small bill when it’s only 2 adults and one kid…. 20% at that…. every other restaurant, IF there was auto grat, would’ve only placed 18% for 6 OR MORE people…spoons were provided for the soup. one spoon had a bunch of dried black spots on it, so i put it on the table and requested for a new spoon. she picked up that spoon and placed it back into my bowl! i then informed her it was dirty, and no apology was made and she even stood in front of us using her nail to scrape at the spoon… horrendous.in conclusion, visit was pleasant, except the auto gratuity and her lukewarm attitude…
Food was excellent. Best Thai food in town. Customer service was excellent, food was provided as requested at a speedy rate. Appetizer were fantastic as well. LOVED their spring rolls. Would and will definitely come back again!
