I liked this spot a lot. It was cute, quiet and our server was nice. We were lucky enough to experience the rain in the outdoor/enclosed section of the restaurant. The food was good. I do wish the rice had been cooked a bit more. There were hard parts on the rice, almost not cooked. I'm not sure if that's how they make it or not. So take that part with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, the food was still amazing! I ordered the lunch special. One barria taco, one firecracker shrimp taco, beans and rice. All amazing! After lunch we ordered queso and enjoyed the rain.

We ate at Taco Boy on Folly Beach THREE times in a five day trip… all thanks to Justin, the awesome bartender, the blood orange margs, and chicken tinga quesadilla! Can’t wait to come back and indulge again on our next trip to Folly!

Delicious food every single time! The vibes are always right eating here. Perfect spot for a family experience or girls night out. I always enjoy coming here!

Excellent all around. Nice variety of tacos. We all ordered the “pick two” Serving size was just right. Service was very attentive and friendly.

Staff was great! Prices are ridiculous and owner should be ashamed. I'll post a pic of my $11.00 Margarita 3/4 of the way full with ice. No I didn't drink anything before taking the photo. Needless to say, if you're going to drop $80 on a dinner for two. These Tacos are not it. Mediocre at best. You want a decent Maragarita go to a real Mexican restaurant. The drink wasn't even palatable.

Best food & service I’ve had in the south! Highly recommend! Leslie is amazing! Thanks for the best service, Leslie! We ❤️ you. We will be friends in the south & north, even though you’re a Buckeye & I’m a Wolverine lol. Go Blue.

Awesome Mexican street corn and Avocado tempura taco. Nachos were yummy too! Kennedy provided incredible service and it was great to see Michelle again too! Thank you Folly Taco Boy!

Brunch here and it was quick seating, friendly service, easy menu. The options offered are some personal favorites from my country so I was eager to try flavor is good the chilaquiles could use 2 more eggs queso fresco and aguacate but that's just us. The huevo rancheros was soggy so tortillas were mushy flour mess but taste was good but again more eggs vs 1 and queso fresco less soggy would be great for us but after using some chips from the other order it was great. Servers were friendly and very clean location will be back ?

This was a recommendation from our hotel and we were very excited about eating there. I love the decor but there were many problems with our experience. This is not the cleanest food establishment I've ever been in. When we we seated, it took a while to even have someone come to our table, which was in the corner on the upper level. The server was very preoccupied and not really with us. We ordered and it took forever.....finally they came back to tell us they had a big party that had tied up the kitchen and the food would get there soon. As a professional chef, this line of excuses always makes me mad as all the blame is put on the kitchen staffs backs. Many times the real reason is the error of the servers to put the order in a timely manner or because of a mistake they made in placing the order and the order had to be remade. But, back to this story, our food finally came and it was awful! I only ordered beans and rice, both were not even warm. This restaurant doesn't give you chips and salsa but if you want it you are charged for them. I would have expected warm/hot chips (they were not) and especially because we waited so long for our meals, maybe a refill on the appetizer would have been a nice gesture. No such luck! Also, the portion size for each dish was tiny but the prices were overpriced for the value. Very disappointing experience. To top it off, when we tried to pay so we could get out of there, the server stated the wifi was acting up so it took even more time for them to figure out how to make the machines work so we could pay. The saddest part is we were still hungry with the appetizer portions we received so we ate at another restaurant later that evening.

I've been wanting to go to Taco Boy for a long time and last night was my first time I was so excited ? but it was such a disappointment ?. Guacamole was so amazing and the drinks were good but when me and my boyfriend got our food not so great, his fish taco he got the tortilla was so dry it got stuck in his teeth and in his throat he had to keep taking a drink after almost every bit and my taco boy salad was not washed before they made it your supposed to wash lettuce before hand, the lettuce tasted weird. But other than that the staff was great very polite made sure you had everything you needed and sadly I don't think me and my boyfriend will be going back.
