Half chicken, beans w/ brisket and vinegar slaw. The food was really good. The bartender/manager was great for letting me know what didn't have pork in the recipe. I would visit again.
My wife and I went and tried their full rack of ribs. If you like your ribs to be fall off the bone, tender and flavorful ... these are not the ribs for you. They were tough, with lots of smaller pieces of bone, and still had a lot of tough grisly fat on them. If it was me, I would have left them on the smoker another couple hours. With that said, the beans and mac and cheese were both good. One other thing to note is that we took our toddler with us, and they do not server fries. Just something to be aware of. The service was great, and we were well attended. One of our friends joined us, and got their special of the night a spicy fried chicken sandwich, which they said was very tasty.
This is one of my favorite Charleston South Carolina barbecue places. I'm sure there are others however, I always have a great experience here. I always go in and get their lunch or after work special which is a huge pulled pork sandwich for only $5. They also have great cocktails too. Everything on this menu is awesome I would highly suggest that you try them
Good barbecue meats. Friendly service. Tasty sides.Brisket was great. Turkey breast a little dry but still much better then in many other places where I’ve tried it.Sauces were a little too spicy as for my taste.Overall, — very good experience.
Really delicious pulled pork plate and fair prices. The wing discount special on Wednesdays (?) is a good one too! Service was friendly and timely even though they were pretty busy. End with the pecan pie dessert!
We are visiting Summerville from Ireland. We have been excited to visit here for so long. It beyond met our expectations. The food was absolutely stunning. We have never had better BBQ. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind (thank you Reilly and Joseph) for being so lovely. We will absolutely be back. Thanks so much everyone! ?
Excellent barbeque! Generous portions, side dishes are delicious, and comfortable atmosphere inside and outside. A favorite !
Very good BBQ place, everything was solid but nothing special.B- - Meat CutB+ - Meat cooking, all the different meats were great except the pulled pork was a bit dryA- - Service was prompt and considerate.B+ - Sides were all decent, none were bad but nothing to write home about.B - Atmosphere is fine, good family vibes.B+ - Sauces were different, good selection but I wish they had a little more humph. That being said they do have a very good spread to cover most pallettes.
The food was amazing! Nothing disappointed for sure. It was well seasoned and prepared perfectly. We tried the pork rind nachos and they were great. It was a HUGE serving. There were 3 of us that could have made that a meal honestly. Beyond the food the service was AMAZING! Sadly I don't remember our servers name. He was fantastic, very attentive without hovering and had personality! I truly wish I remembered his name to give him proper credit. Will definitely be a new go to for us!!
Nephew likes to take Sunday trips for meals. So off we go. First time having beans and brisket. Nice flavor. Enjoyed that thoroughly. The greens were tasty as well. I am undecided as to what to say about the ribs. So here's what is going to happen. Going to hold tongue for now. One day will take the two hour drive once again and see if opinion changes at all. Not to say that we would have terrible things to say. . . .just want to make sure that my initial impression should remain or if it deserves revision.I try to be observant and this place seems to draw its fair share of obvious family groupings. I did notice that empty tables did not remain empty for long. So this place is popular.
