Had the salmon pokebowl plus salmon and tuna sashimi. Absolutely delicious! One of the best I've had since leaving Japan. Will absolutely be coming back here again.
I have been eating at Sushi 201 for a year or so, and it is by far the best sushi in Summerville. I liked getting the sushi meal which came with a salad or a bowl of miso soup and I would order a soda to have with it. I normally paid around $32 including tip, out the door. A great meal at a so so price, a little high but not bad because its Sushi, the price you pay for great sushi, the way it goes... Last week I ordered the exact same meal, drink and with tip I was out the door at $46. I won't be seeing Sushi 201 any longer. Though the Sushi is very good, the place needs a face lift inside, worn out seats and the decor needs a major facelift, which I never cared about until I have to spend $46 for a quick solo meal at a high classy restaraunt price. I might also mention, I have never seen more than two or three tables taken while dinning there. Makes me think, is it the price of the meals or the old worn out look inside, it has a great location.... Either way, like I said, the sushi is great, the prices are ridiculous, and the atmosphere is shoty.... food 5 stars, atmosphere 1 star, prices 1 star (for what it is) total 2 stars. Won't be long now with the price increase it'll be gone, give it 3 to 6 months, history. Not for Summerville, that's for sure.
Outdated inside. Nice server and food was decent. It gives off vibes of you'd rather not know what the kitchen looks like... overall ok, can't say I'd go back.
I had the Chicken Ramen with the Miso base and it was very good. The Miso broth really pulled out the flavors for the ramen and Bok Choy, Chicken and added flavor to my boiled eggs as well.
Great sushi but they keep raising prices all the time and soon they will loose a lot of loyal customers. Philly is $11 , way too expensive.
Great Service with a smile and even better priced sushi, the portions were absolutely superb!
Best sushi in summerville hands down. If you want an upper glass atmosphere with upper class prices, go to fuji in nexton. But why? This has great options and delicious sushi rolls! Now a weekly item.
Excellent sushi and hibachi!!
Ordered from King Ramen on ubereats and apparently they operate out of Sushi 201. The sister branch for King ramen was also at the exact same address as the Sushi 201 sister address. I don’t know if that is legit or they are trying to do some rebranding which is suspicious.I ordered the tonkotsu and paitan ramen. I wondered if i should have left instructions to separate the noodles from the soup but i felt that the business would automatically do it since it is for take out. Apparently nobody has the common sense for it. Both portions arrived in a quart and noodles were extremely soggy and falling apart since i only received it 30 mins later. the toppings came separately, go figure. for $3, i received 5 one inch cubes of beef, they were tender. for another $3, i also received 2 slices on chashu, the pork belly. the meat was dry but the fat was soft. for $2, they gave me 4 extremely thin slices of the japanese fishcake, the white one with a pink spiral within, not worth the money at all. Will not be ordering from them again. I also paid $3 for the shrimp tempura which thankfully someone had an ounce of common sense to pack separately. The shrimps are tiny, but encased in a huge fried shell. The paitan ramen is supposed to be a chicken broth similar to tonkotsu except that tonkotsu is a pork broth. i had one sip and could immediately tell it was full of MSG... One of my friends in the restaurant business has the same supplier who actually sells the soup flavoring packets. So that means King Ramen aka Sushi 201 doesn’t make their own broth for ramen but instead uses cheap flavoring
Very slow but great food. Fairly priced for hibachi. The servers are great. They even gave me a soda while I waited.
