I get food to go for myself at least twice a month from here, for the past 10 + years. Today, I got a Greek chicken salad to go. When I opened it, I noticed it looked... off. Just, not quite right. There was a lot of water in it, which is really weird, which filled a small coffee cup- like, that's really crazy. But the lettuce also caught my attention. There was extremely fresh lettuce mixed with extremely old lettuce that was so translucent, I thought it was plastic. The kalamata olives were spoiled. The chicken? It was like the lettuce. Not good. This right here told me that Opa Cafe is deteriorating fast and this was the nail in the coffin for me. I can always understand rising costs, but there is NO justification in serving spoiled & old food. Opa has given up.
Was in the mood for Greek food tonight and this place did not disappoint. Authentic, delicious and a fabulous staff who hosted an excellent experience. It was take out, but they were so attentive and helpful. I'm definitely going back.....the Gyro was fresh and tasty and the falafel was probably the best I've ever had. Check them out!
This is my top five restaurants in Charleston! I have been all over the world and this is very authentic Greek food. This is a mom-and-pop restaurant like you will never find again. I am a repeat customer and I will always be a repeat customer. We need more wonderful restaurants like Opa Cafe!
My favorite greek place in Summerville. Owner is nice and so is his family. Their food is always great and they are fast.

Yum, yum and yum!! Amazing Greek food that has flavor and quality. I am picky too because I cook myself. They are only open for take out so I ate my food on the road about 1/2 hour later and was not disappointed! I will go back and have a party in the parking lot. The selection of groceries is very nice also!
We had told our friends about Opa'a and had them over for dinner, via Opa's. It was fantastic, just as we had said. 3 gyro platters, spanakopita, the roasted tomatoes, and the leg of lamb. Everything was delicious, and the plates were locked clean! They are now Opa fans as well!
This place is fantastic! We ordered takeout and had the hummus, calamari, and gyro platters with Greek salad and seasoned fries. The spice on the fries is delicious and their tzatziki on the gyros was very good too. The calamari was tender, and the hummus came with fresh, soft, hot pita. We love supporting local businesses and Opa Cafe makes it easy to patronize their restaurant. They were also kind enough to bring my food to the curb for me when it was ready since the weather was bad. We’ll be back soon!
Very good authentic Greek food. Greek salad and their dressing is awesome. Bought some of the salad dressing bottled for home
