Terrible service, went there this morning to purchase an Icecream cake for my 5 years old son Bday; asking the people there to write happy bday or just my son name on the Cake, they ddin't even look at the cake, they flat out saids' NO.
I actually love Marble Slab. We have 6 kids and they absolutely love this place. However, we normally go to the location in Mt. Pleasant. It’s my understanding they’re owned by the same person so I assumed they hire the same kind of people (I was wrong). This location was clean and has the same options, but the service is lacking. We were ordering for our kids (only 2 in tote) and another family came in. While ordering, the other family asked for the peanut cone and there were told there’s only 2 left. My husband stated that we were there first and we wanted one of the cones. The girl helping them completely ignored him. The girl helping us looked so uncomfortable and helpless that we chose not to push the issue and just left. I won’t assume it was a race issue although the thought did cross my mind. I think it was more of a service issue which is why I’m only giving 2 stars this time.
Ice cream is great! Unfortunately the ladies behind the counter on a beautiful Friday afternoon made the experience a little salty. I firmly believe that if you don't like people you need to work elsewhere...
This place is utterly a disappointment. I get better ice cream from a run down gas station. I would rather eat yellow snow, than this stores icecream.
I placed an online order for my sisters birthday to be delivered today. The system showed it as rescheduled and Katie made sure to get the order completed and personally delivered it same day. I am really appreciative!
Picking up online order wasn't started till 5 minutes after I showed up..10 min later handed me 2 items when 3 ordered..so had to wait another 5 to 10 minutes. There was 2 other people in store that's it..they were in slo mo speed..do better!!
Placed an online order for pick up ASAP that hadn’t even been started until I had arrived which was 5 mins after it was suppose to be ready. And was rudely told “oh well we have been busy so you will have to wait a few more minutes.” How about have some customer services skills and be polite and say sorry it’s been crazy but we are working on it right now. There was only one person in line and 4 people there. One of which was standing around behind the counter doing nothing What is the point of placing an online order if it’s not ready until 15 mins after it was suppose to!
I've had 2 recent not so great experiences with Great American Cookie in Summerville. The first one was Dec. 3, 2021. I ordered a large rectangle cookie cake that was supposed to be like a football field with green end zones (similar to the image on their website but with different colors and name). The sideline numbers and the white field lines were horrible! I even asked them what these #s were because it looked like a kid wrote them. I politely told them that I wasn't happy with the way it looked and had them to redo it with smaller piping for the lines and numbers and explained to her what would look better. The second one looked much better and she agreed. The next one I ordered was just this week. It was the smaller round Dinosaur D1003 (I believe). I picked it up this past Wednesday evening around 6:30pm. By this time I'm done with the day and didn't even have the energy to complain. The dinosaur looked much bigger than the picture online, the eyes looked possessed, looked like they gave it 3 front legs, the name looked like "Masan" instead of Mason. I tried to brush it off as these are kids making these and thanking that they are working. However, when you spend this amount of money on something special, you want to get what you pay for. I WILL NOT GET ANOTHER SPECIAL COOKIE CAKE FROM THERE!
Ice cream was awesome! Did have a wait period due to people waiting.
The mint sugar cookie with chocolate chips are wonderful! They're the perfect holiday cookies. Honestly though, I'd eat them any time of year, so I hope they're not just there for the holidays. We've tried almost all of their cookies over the past few weeks, and they all taste great! It doesn't even matter what time you get them, they still taste fresh-baked. My favorites are: strawberry crinkle, original chocolate chip, & mint sugar with chocolate chips. Again though, you can't go wrong getting any of their cookies. I've got to try those cookie cakes next.
