100% Italian American (50% Tuscan, 50% Sicilian) Review: Food overall 8.5 outta 10. Ricotta Toast was really good. While I've never had it before I really enjoyed it! The Gnocchi was not my favorite but I'm really picky on Gnocchi. I like them melt in your mouth soft and these didn't do it for me. The Veal Saltimbocca was really outstanding, very fresh and the sauce with it was refreshing. Surprisingly one of my favorite dishes was the side of veggies! They had some lemon zestyness that was wonderful. The meat balls as an app were okay probably would recommend something else.Service: Overall 9 outta 10. We had reservations and our table was waiting for us. The server was very friendly and attentive. One minor snafu when she forgot to bring us plates for the main course but other than that she was top notch. To the owner: Thanks for letting me experience some tasty food that brought me back home without a plane ticket.

Some of the reviews here are just plain ignorant or ridiculous. It’s like no one understands how reservations work and get upset because they didn’t plan ahead. Or others being upset at the pricing when it’s listed online and printed clearly on the physical menu. It’s also like no one knows that everything and I mean everything is more expensive nowadays with inflation so if you don’t want to pay for it DON’T go out to eat. It’s an experience and petty reviews on customers being inconvenienced and leaving reviews based on that is such a ignorant thing to do.ANYWAYS, I did make our party of 6 reservation as soon as I saw their social media say that was open and ready. We arrived early and were seated promptly. Our server was wonderful and knowledgeable on all of the food and desserts. Our party tried a little bit of everything(as you can see in photos) and we all enjoyed every single dish from start to finish. The only small criticism i can think of is lack of kids menu. I guess this isn’t primarily a kids friendly restaurant with the romantic ambience but I could have taken advantage of smaller portions or simple options for kids. Other than that, definitely recommend for a date night or girls night. Look forward to being back!

First off.. Finally a great restaurant in Summerville! Nico has created a very nice place. Very friendly, very good vibe. I booked a reservation 2 days after Laura opened. Forgot all about it, till I received a text message Thursday evening. Looked forward to trying a new spot all day Friday. So worth the wait! You would never know this place has only been open a month! Amanda our server was great, very knowledgeable about the menu, and made good suggestions. Btw—- definitely get the octopus. Price was good, portions were great… no need to hit a subway on your way home from a dining experience… have done that before. You can tell this restaurant was created for people who love food, love the experience, love the laid back atmosphere. Hope they have great success.

This is easily the best Italian food in the Charleston metro area. Its upscale enough to be an adventure but close enough to comfort food to still be enjoyable. Great service as the staff in knowledgeable, friendly, and very prompt. This place is definitely worth the hike up to Summerville and we will be back. Highly recommend.

Fantastic new, local restaurant. Great location, too, in downtown Summerville. A warm evening, a slight breeze across the patio, and a gorgeous sunset. What more could you ask for? Well....the food! It was all VERY good, but the mushroom pappardelle was maybe the best pasta dish I've ever had! Add in the excellent service, and this is a must-visit for anyone even vaguely in the Summerville area.

We sat at the inside bar; full service at the bar. The service was great; Savannah and Spencer were very helpful and worked fast.We had appetizers, main course and dessert, and it all was absolutely delicious. Our drinks were great, too. This place is the best Italian restaurant in Summerville. Definitely coming back to try their pizzas.

Food and service were amazing. Great selection for Summerville. The hours are what they are, I did notice that the bar was reservation only. The person that said the spaghetti didn't come with meatballs, THIS IS NOT OLIVE GARDEN. This place rocks. Had the pork shank and the flavors were amazing. Had a chance to try all our friends stuff as well, and you cannot go wrong.

We had a great time dinning here. Food was good, and drinks were tasty. Desserts were awesome and huge. The service and the atmosphere of the place are phenomenal. Everybody was already very competent, only few days after opening. We definitely recommend!

It's a nice atmosphere, and the food was pretty good, however my only complaint was that everything that was cooked in the oven was slightly overdone on top. That's an easy fix though, and you should definitely check out this place! We loved the mussels, and the bottom piece of the veal was really tender. We'll be back soon.

What more can I say about this location that hasn’t already been said? It is lovely in every way. Fantastic service, venue, and food are a staple at any of Nico’s locations. We loved going to Bistronomy Downtown and this spot shined as well. If we could we’d have ordered the entire menu. We started off with drinks and their bread selection. The focaccia bread was soft and warm and came with delicious anchovy butter. We also shared the beef carpaccio, which was by far our favorite plate of the day. The meat had such an intoxicating flavor and the saltiness of the capers was amazing. The bolognese was hearty and rich with flavor. The scallops were seared perfectly and had the perfect texture as well. The flavor of the Agnolotti was unctuous and the texture of the crunch was amazing. We sampled a couple of their cocktails as well and the care put into our drinks was excellent. The old-fashioned was so rich and enjoyable and the Laura was so light and savory. I can’t wait to try this place again. Laura is a wonder and we will certainly be back!
