We had maybe a 10 min wait for a table. Once we were seated we had a server right away. She was very attentive and friendly. The food took about 15 mins. I had blueberry pancakes and a side of bacon and it was delicious! Huge fluffy pancakes and three pieces of quality bacon. My husband ordered a custom omelette with toast and it was very good. Everyone there works together to check on folks and it was a very friendly atmosphere. I appreciated the excellent service and quality food. Go there!!
First time eating here while visiting the Farmers market and we were not disappointed. Food and service was excellent. Tina was awesome and suggested items for us that we may want to try. She was so right and portions were great. Can't wait to visit again and try more menu items. Definitely eat here because you won't be disappointed
A bit of a wait, and I know why. Our food was incredible. I ordered the chicken and biscuits. The biscuits were fluffy, the sausage gravy was fantastic, the chicken perfectly cooked. Our server was efficient, friendly and awesome. Also, while waiting to be seated, one of the employees had the uncomfortable task of having to escort a very drunk man who wandered in out, and my group watched this woman stop traffic and stay with him, not allow him to drive away, and stayed with him until police arrived. She was a boss in every sense of the word, and we were so impressed. So, good food, watched an employee potentially safe a life, and heck yes this 70 plus year institution gets 5 stars from me.
My wife and I just left there with a horrible experience. We have frequent Eva's in the past and it has for the most part been great until today. After waiting to get in for 30+ minutes and an excuse of short on staff. We finally get seated and yet again the excuse of short on staff. Coffees poured and I ordered right away avoiding waiting for an additional 20 minutes when we knew already what we wanted, again eaten there before. Food came out with in a reasonable time. My wife's stack of pancakes were very doughy and undercooked. My meal was fine and consistent to the past. We sat and talked for a good half hour and not once a refill on coffee or a stop by from our server asking how's things going. She was nowhere to be found. Small place... Another server picked up our plate and I informed her we didn't receive any refills and as you could see my wife's pancakes were under cooked she only took 2 bites. Well nothing not a single response. Miraculously our waitress reappeared with our check and the good old excuse sorry folks we are way under staffed. Her service was horribly horrendous. I get it you live off your tips I work in the service industry but don't think for a second any server is entitled to a tip because we are servers, that is something you have to earn. You work for regardless of how busy or understaffed you may be. There is no reason not to stop by any of your tables to check on them and to make sure everything is OK. Well the bill came full price with out taking off my wife's almost not touched cakes. Sad to say a big X went across that tip box and believe it or not I don't feel bad about it at all. It's sad because I live here and enjoyed eating here. I won't patronize Eva's going forward. I'm sure it won't matter but hope they look out for this so it doesn't happen again to future customers.
The service here is impeccable and the food is delicious!We came in for lunch during spring break week, and was seated in a good time, as well as getting our food and refills.The kids had burgers (the kids menu is so affordable!) and I had the country fried steak special which was so tasty.Great restaurant!
First time there after living in Summerville 11 years. Staff were friendly, service was quick & the food was delicious. It was an expensive breakfast for two, however, so I don’t think we’ll eat there often.

Eva's is a truly welcoming environment with great wait staff and fabulous food! We regularly enjoy breakfast and lunch, and always gather at Eva's when we have family in town. Love the baked chicken and can honestly say best desserts around. I particularly like the way Eva's is decorated and honors the original owner. Elizabeth
Really wanted to like this place, but never got our order. Started out rough… Asked our server if we could sit in a booth and was told they are saved for larger parties. We joked all the occupied booths had only 2 customers. She didn’t find it funny and curtly asked us if we wanted to order. We ordered drinks and proceeded to review the menu. After we ordered they sat 2 parties in booths with only 2 customers in the booths, took their orders and they received their food before us. Various servers stopped by our table to fill our drinks, however, never did our server stop by or inquire about our order. We decided after 14 minutes, we were done. Our server happened to be at the hostess stand and we told her we wanted to pay for our drinks since we had not received our order. She pulled it up and told us she would be back. No apology, no explanation! Luckily another server walked up, took care of us and we were on our way!
