I can’t say enough great things about this place! I’ve lived in Summerville for a year and have tried all the places and Dragon Express is my favorite. I always order on the website and never from door dash or Grubhub. It’s always fast delivery and the food is great! They pay attention to my special requests and the portions are huge! I always get beef and broccoli and cashew chicken and ask both be spicy. This is the only place I order from and they never disappoint. Highly recommend!!!
I ordered some take out from this place right before Thanksgiving. I have ordered from them many times before and the food is pretty good and the delivery is always speedy. The girl took my order and I gave her my card # and all the info she asked for. She said the food should be there in about 45 minutes to an hour. About 5 minutes later my phone rang and I did not recognize the #but answered anyway. It was a man from the Chinese place and he asked if I had just placed an order with them for delivery and I said yes and he said, "well your car did not go through" I asked him why did the girl at the first call not tell me that but instead told me the food would be sent out, and he said he did not know then asked me if I could please pay with cash for the food. I checked my wallet and I said yes I had enough to pay cash and then I hung up. Something did not feel right about this whole thing. So I got online with my bank and right there on my checking statement was a pending charge to the Dragon Express. I called them back and spoke to the same guy as before and told him that I just checked my bank and according to my statement online there was a pending charge for them for the exact amount for the food I had ordered and I asked him to "explain please". He put the phone down for a few minutes then came back and said it was no problem, card did go through and food was coming. Machine made mistake. So boys and girls. Watch you wallets out there tis the season to get ripped off. Fa La La la la.
Ordered through the door dash app and it keep pushing my time back for about a hour. Decided to call the store and they said they would call me with the manager. Took them about 20 mins to give me a call. I eventually get a message from door dash stating they canceled my order and the manger called to tell me sorry for the cancel. I will never do business with them ever again completely wasted a hour in a half for nothing.
Never had an issue with this place until today. Ordered via door dash, and was told no more that 30 minutes. 1.5 hours later my food final arrives and items are missing. Called the restaurant to correct the issue and told me that it wasn't their problem. Again, never had an issue with the food or service before, but this place doesn't need to be around if that is how they treat their customers.
Ordered through Uber eats and the food arrived in a timely manner and it was hot. That’s about where the good report ends… Got chicken in curry sauce and chicken and mushrooms and neither one had much flavor at all. Also got eggrolls and the wrappers were so tough could hardly bite them. We have leftovers because nobody wanted seconds but it will probably stay in the refrigerator for a couple of days and then be tossed.
Ordered wontons, got szechuan wontons, when I called they said I got what I ordered and got loud and rude with me. Then they told me I had to come to them when I ordered delivery, they argued more about I was wrong and hung up on me. NEVER will I order from there again. Food was sub-par, egg drop soup had no flavor, rice had so much onion that's all you could taste and General Tso was blah!
Beyond disappointed. Had ordered from her previously and the food was good but tonight was beyond ridiculous. I ordered via door dash around 5:30. The order kept showing as “on its way”. Around 6:30 and no change to the status I hit help on door dash which told me I had to directly contact the store. The first call a young lady answered and stated her manager was the one that worked with all online delivery orders and she took my number telling me she would have her call back. 20 minutes later no call, no food. When I called back another lady very rudely wouldn’t let me speak before taking my address and staying it’s left the store, it’s on its way, bye bye. I gave them benefit of the doubt but at 7:07(yes 1 hour and a half later) my door dash states delivered. I have a ring and had seen no one come but walked outside to see that no it wasn’t delivered. By this time I was becoming agitated so I had my husband call the lady she would barley let him speak, refusing to hear what he was trying to say, he simply was trying to tell her the app showed delivered but the food wasn’t here. She continued to say, it’s on its way. She then again hung up. The third time he called he told her he wasn’t sure why she wouldn’t let him speak that we would rather just cancel the order and have a refund in order to order elsewhere. She continues to say it’s on its way, you aren’t the only ones, I can’t cancel because your money isn’t here(of course it wasn’t the order was online). I finally got ahold of door dash and got a refund to order from else where. They were unable to figure out the issue either. My husband again called the store speaking to the First Lady we spoke to and stated we had the order resolved with door dash but that they should follow up with the driver to see where the food was delivered. She stated she would have her manager call and again took our number but it’s now 7:52 and no phone call. So needless to say they lost my business as of tonight. Service is just as important as quality and the service was beyond poor.
Ordered Uber eats and the food is so gross! Chicken taste like old grease, general chicken taste like mixture of old seafood. It was so gross! No wonder they have a bad rating!
Just an awful place of business! It took over 30 mins to receive my order of shrimp lo mein the counter person was very rude and yelling at me as if I was her child! (once she took my money, she had no time for anything else) I just wanted ketchup for my fries! She had not put any utensils, nor any napkins in the bag, and the food was too salty! Pass by this place and spend your money some where else!
Best Chinese food in the area. Great portions, friendly service and delivery, and the food quality is the best we’ve found.
