This place is very good! Jeremy Holst did great with this one. I love how food has Asian influence here and there, and how all the flavors come together. Service was fast. The best raw bar experience in Summerville.
Not real sure where to begin. My wife and I relocated from NY several months ago. We try a new restaurant in Charleston every week and have found exceptional dining options. We love fine dining and have dined extensively in the US and Europe at some of the finest restaurants in the world. Tonight we decided to stay close to home an dine at Bexley in Summerville. To say this was a pleasant surprise is a gross understatement! Wow, Wow, wow. ! Starting with a dozen raw oysters with Bexley own dressing to a series of unbelievable small dishes which we shared, this was one hell of a memorable dining experience. Head chef and owner Jeremy came by several times to see how things were. No surprise he is a graduate of the CIA in Hyde Park NY the premier cooking school in the country. His expertise, creativity and culinary talent is clearly on display. Picturesque presentation, unique combinations of flavors, shareable portions. My wife and I were simply blown away. Note, small venue, they do not take reservations, serve beer and wine but no hard liquor. Clearly a 5 + star dining experience.
This one was a very pleasant surprise. Came here on a random recommendation and found the food to be excellent. Beet salad was one of the best I've had. The menu has a lot of interesting items on it. I initially thought the menu was a little pricey, but the quality of the meal seemed to justify it. Great little addition to the Summerville food scene!
I don't normally leave reviews but this place is a hidden gem in Summerville! I met my girls here for lunch and I wasn't too excited about going to the place because I'm not a seafood/raw bar type of person. I was blown away by how good the food was. My girls and I tasted each other entrees and I can't think of anything bad to say about any of them. The food was just as good as the presentation. The staff tested us nicely.
Excellent food! The presentation and taste were equally fantastic. Oysters were very fresh.I can tell they took pride in every dish that came out of the kitchen during my visit. It was my first time here and I’m already excited for my next visit.They do need to clean the vein from the shrimp though, otherwise it would be easily given a 5-star review.
A hidden gem in Summerville! Just like all the other reviews, definitely a must try if you're in the area.The food and service were fantastic! All the flavors were on point and you could tell the seafood was very high quality, fresh, and well prepared. Our waitress was very attentive and the owner himself even stopped by our table to ask how everything was. The poke bowl was my personal favorite! Delicious experience! Creative and different. Eat at the high top Oyster seats- you’ll enjoy while watching the preparations and presentations.
Anniversary dinner with Hubby was gonna be downtown tonight but only available was on the patio and brrrrrr...so we went early to Bexley Summerville and sat at the bar. Brooke was amazing and the service, food, and presentation was superb. Jeremy the owner even came out to check on our food and wish us happy anniversary! They even partner with local businesses for wine, bread (beyond amazing) and plates. Highly recommend.
My wife and I visited last Friday night for our anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was gorgeous, the service was top shelf and the food was absolutely amazing. I had the lobster roll and my wife had the shrimp roll. Both were mouth wateringly delicious and presented beautifully. We also thoroughly enjoyed the selection of craft beers from several fine local breweries. Can't wait to visit again!!!
We visited on Friday night, & were promptly seated at the bar(no reservation). I’ve been in this location prior to their renovation and they’ve really transformed the space into an upscale dining experience. Our waitress was pleasant & attentive. The food was phenomenal, we started with the Roasted Oysters. They were light & fresh with great flavor & my Tuna Poke bowl was phenomenal. The wife really enjoined her shrimp.It’s really great to have such a nice place to go in Summerville, instead of having to go all the way downtown for another raw bar. Highly recommend stopping in & giving this place a go!! We definitely plan on coming back!!
