Lunch for one at Rosa's...I often eat alone and opt for eating in the car; but felt very comfortable and welcomed here. The food was AWESOME! Very tasty, super friendly and they make sure you get plenty to eat. Definitely coming back here. Thanks!
Stopped to grab a bite to eat to go. Got home, ate some, it was awesome. Wife got the skirt steak I got the 1/2 chicken. In the picture...could not wait to sample the food.
Incredible place to eat. The food was cooked and seasoned perfectly.The portions were great the presentation of the food was great also. You can see the kitchen and it’s amazingly clean. The staff was very nice and the atmosphere was great. I would encourage everyone to try this place. You won’t regret it.
Let’s add to the five star reviews. My husband and I came in shortly before closing. We were greeted immediately with a friendly salutation and notified that they were sold out of many items on the menu. Well, what a great problem to have! I was determined to try this restaurant for months. We ordered empanadas and, upon recommendation, the shrimp. We substituted the fries for black beans. They asked what level of spice I desired for the shrimp. Rosa piled that to go plate with the most awesome yellow rice. The empanadas were delicious and flavorful. And the shrimp were cooked to perfection. From the sign to the pristine condition to the customer service to the FOOD, hands down, one of the best restaurants in the Upstate! We will be arriving early in the day for a lunch date for those sold out items. Thank you, Rosa and Rosa’s BBQ family!
Being originally from New Jersey I am so happy to have found a restaurant in the upstate that offers Portuguese BBQ! The flavor is unmatched! I highly recommend checking out Rosa’s BBQ it’s a nice change up from typical slow cooked smothered southern BBQ. Rosa’s uses a traditional Portuguese rotisserie charcoal grill which gives the meats great flavor paired with her signature hot sauce. For the first time in a while it felt like I was back in Newark, NJ eating out. Will be back again!
OMG. I don't ever leave reviews for anything really but this place has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND and it deserves a review. LET ME TELL YOU!!!!!! The food is freshly cooked in front of you. The taste oh man does it bring back memories. Those of you that can taste flavor. You are in for a SURPRISE!!!! I can't stress enough how AMAZING the experience is this was. The chicken was packed with flavor. Rice was perfectly cooked with the vegetables mixed in. The natural juices. OUT OF THIS WORLD! I have been coming back and trying every dish they make. Every meal has not failed. I have successfully eaten one of everything and it was nothing but AMAZING!!!!! I can't stress how good this place is. A customer for life.
Delicious!! I just got a chicken breast plate with arroz con gandules. The sauce on the chicken was flavorful, it was fresh. The rice had bits of pork and pigeon peas. Amazing.
Decided to try after reading all the positive reviews. I was not disappointed. My sweetie and I had the salmon and the skirt steak., with Puerto Rican rice, red beans, macaroni salad and stir fried vegetables. We got the half chicken as well, for next day meal. Everything was delicious! Seasoned to perfection! The service was excellent. I highly recommend.
Got the half chicken and pork ribs . Came with 2 sides rice and French fries. Subbed the fries for veg mix up charge of $2 . Rice and fries don't go together. Veggie mix was great , just not enough of it . Ribs only 3 to the order with half chicken. Flavor was ok once I added salt and bbq sauce at home . Ok meal for 2 . Nothing special .
Down right delicious! We started out with the salami bites. They were really good and you could tell they cut them in store. I ordered the short ribs, and they were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of sauce to add a nice tangy taste with the smallest amount of heat. The rice was flavorful and cooked well. My wife ordered the skirt steak which was juicy and cooked well. The sauce that went over it was a great addition! They also came with side sauces to dip your meat not that they needed it, but it was a pleasant way to changed the taste and flavor every now and again. It’s also great to add to your rice! Even the fresh juices were to die for! Overall a place to get great authentic home cooked meals, with fresh ingredients. It’s just one of the best places I’ve eaten at in a very long time, and can’t wait to eat there again!
