Food was awesome, cooks were friendly, have a early bird special price before 4-7 pm
My husband is allergic to shrimp and when the cook was told about it he went up and above to make sure that no shrimp was cooked with his food the shrimp was the last thing he cooked in front of us. Great place to go and eat at for lunch it less expensive than at dinner time. I had sushi too. Recommend everyone to go there.
The food is still good, but they have lowered the quality of the steak. They have also water downed the shrimp sauce. Prices have went up also. It’s hard to fuss a lot about this since every other restaurant has had to do the same thing.
I absolutely love this place. The staff is super friendly and just makes it a wonderful experience. I will say the prices have gone up a bit but you receive A LOT of food. The manager said they get booked up pretty fast and cant take walk ins if they're booked up. He also said that for big parties, reservations should be at lease a week in advance. Their lunch hours are from 11:30-1:30 and dinner is from 4:30-8:30.
Came here with my wife and toddler for our 5 year wedding anniversary. The show as well as the food was great. We were glad to see the portions had not declined like so many other restaurants.
Had a great experience. Staff was friendly and took their time answering our questions since it was our first time at a Japanese restaurant
We tried to make reservations for days for a birthday dinner. There is obviously no online option to do it so the only choice was to drive there. There were only a few cars in the parking lot with no one in the lobby and only a few people seated so I was hopeful. Nope. They were “booked” until closing. The two people behind the front desk were apathetic and totally unapologetic. The paper being tapped on had nothing written on it. Whatever. We will absolutely not return and encourage others to not waste their time either.
It would be nice if they would answer their phone sometime. I’ve tried and tried to call the phone for reservations and it either rolls over to a fax or it never gets answered. Twice I’ve driven there to make reservations in person. It’s just never a pleasant experience. I’m trying to make make one again now for someone who requested it for their birthday. I guess we’ll have to go somewhere else.
This was our first time coming here to Kanpai of Tokyo. I have always loved watching my food being cooked in front of me and so do our children. We went on a date here but will definitely be returning and bringing our kids next time. Its a nice, very friendly and clean restaurant. You get plenty of food for your money and they cook it how you want it. We do not eat onions so they done our zucchini separately. They do the usual egg toss tricks and all. I recommend you giving them a chance to cook for you!
They had one waitress for the entire second room. We had to sit ourselves. Then, they charge a gratuity for two guest!!! Any hibachi restaurants reading this come to the area, the business opportunity is open for competition!
