In the past I loved visiting Jason’s deli because of the unlimited salad bar. Whoever has not been to one before the pandemic, be warned that THE SALAD BAR IS NO LONGER UNLIMITED. There is no signage posted stating it is only 1 trip and no staff inform you until you are on your way up with your first empty bowl when you are informed that it is 1 trip only… if you are going to come for the salad bar, make sure to stock up on your first trip. Unfortunately I will have to pass now on what used to be go-to spot for a good salad.
Every Jason's Deli I've been to has messed up our order in some way, and this location was no exception. Some of the staff were kind and friendly, but the staff that brought out the food were not exactly cheerful. As far as the food, I like that Jason's Deli offers some gluten-free items ... I think their stuffed potatoes are the best thing on the menu. This particular visit I went with a Cobb Salad (which was about $10) and definitely felt like I didn't get my money's worth - the greens were very watery, there was an overload of ham/bacon on top (super salty) ... the chicken helped save the salad, but once I was finished with it I felt like the taste did not match the price I paid.
I would not recommend letting the restaurant make your salad if ordering out. They missed 5 items on my salad, including cheese and dressing. Most salad bar items that people would consider putting on the side of the salad, they chose to flood the salad with these few items. Worst salad I've probably ever had. Very disappointed in ordering out and wasting my money. If it were possible, I would give this restaurant a 0/10.
EVERY TIME we call in fromJason’s Deli something is ALWAYS missed. 4 weeks ago it was a chocolate milk with my kids Alfredo. 2 weeks ago it was bacon bits in my kids Plain Jane. TODAY it was the cheese in my kids Plain Jane. I even added sour cream, and chives on it because supposedly it doesn’t come on it. But CHEESE??!!! On a baked potato?? That’s like a STAPLE for baked potato HISTORY! C’mon Jason’s Deli. Do better.-Disappointed Customer ?
Good food. Friendly service. Combo options. Sandwiches, soups.
I wanted a meatball sub that would be much better than Firehouse or Subway. Figured I'd really get something great at Jason's Deli. But after picking it up, the first thing I noticed was how light it was. I was hungry, so my first thought was "Uh oh, this is not going to be enough to eat."Then I saw how it seemed to be mostly bread. Well, that explained the light weight. Then I saw how it has almost no sauce on it.. For $10 I was expected something so much better. And more substantial. It really felt like it was worth about $3.50. Seriously.Tremendously disappointed. Whoever threw this thing together obviously gives no concern about customer experience, nor do they pride in what they offer.I would like to try out a few more meatball subs in town to find the best one. Jason's Deli is certainly not it.Why 2 stars vs 1? Well, the bread did taste good. And the meatballs themselves also had good flavor. But no sauce and little substance led to a very disatisfying experience.
Recently moved here from the Hickory, NC area. Was looking forward to trying our local Jason’s. Hickory’s location set the bar for standards. We should have turned around and walked out today. 2/5/22. Came in around 1:15 pm. The tables, chairs and floor were dirty. We still decided to give it a chance. We were greeted by a friendly staff. Placed our order and attempted to locate a clean table. Our food arrived. The utensils that were brought to our table were dirty. All of them. I got up and attempted to locate clean utensils. No luck. The manager on duty was not helpful. He seemed more concerned with making himself an ice cream and coffee concoction then he was running his shift. Such a shame. We were regulars in Hickory. We won’t be back to this location. It’s really needs a deep clean.
Place was filthy. Silverware had food on it. Got a salad bar that is now 1 trip so you have to put your desert on top of your salad. No ice cream bowls either. Guess they want you to put that on top of the salad also. Used to eat at Jason's in Hickory once a week but this one won't get another 1 of my hard earned dollars. Would give it 0 stars if I could.
This restaurant was filthy. The dining room had no clean tables at lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The silverware given to me had food on it and didn't look like it was washed. I ordered a salad bar expecting multiple trips but no, they expect you to put your dessert on top of your salad. They told me they stopped multiple trips due to Covid. WTH does that mean. I made my 1st plate, why can't I make a 2nd one. If you are worried about germs, how about cleaning your restaurant. They had no ice cream bowls. Asked for one and the guy hands me a condiment cup for salad dressing. I asked him if this was a joke and he said no. I have eaten at several Jason's precovid usually weekly but this company has lost all of my business. Not to mention $32 for 2 deli sandwiches and a one trip salad bar with 3 cups of water. I'll spend my money elsewhere next time.
I have been coming to Jason’s Deli for a couple of months now, and can I just say wow! The service is amazing, always clean, friendly, and brought out in a timely fashion. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and have never disliked anything. The salad bar is always full, kept clean, and delicious! Free ice cream is always a plus as well! This is my lunch spot 3 days out of the week and I’m going to keep coming back! Yum!
