Great food, Great service. Bologna burger was delish!! Will be back soon.
Massive well prepared burger. French fries were just OK. Next trip I will definitely try their potato chips.... Homemade.
I have heard of this place for decades! Everyone raves over the burgers so of course had to check it out after decades of never being here. I guess I certainly didn't expect to see an old rundown "house" turned restaurant. But being from the South, ya never know.I sat at counter & ordered. My burger was literally on the counter in front of me in 1 minute, possibly less. Could tell it was a homemade patty so that seemed to be a plus. However, after a couple of bites the dryness just couldn't be ignored! There was barely a hint of any type of seasoning & pretty bland. After all these years, I still cannot tell you what all the hype is about. About as enjoyable as...well...honestly, not at all enjoyable:-/Disappointed to say the least. It didn't help that a server picked up an order to take to a table & the guy cooking told her to "hurry & get their @$$€$ outta there as fast as possible".Unfortunately the ONLY 5 star about the place was the sweet tea ? it gets 5 stars all day!
Local, very popular, eating establishment that focuses on American fare in a shabby chic ambience. Food is good, and the service is excellent. The hamburger offering is standard fare with hand-cut fries extra cost as a side. My hamburger, shown below with a bite missing, was with chili that comes as a standard fixing.
Ike's is a Spartanburg treasure! The burgers are awesome, the chicken and beef Philly Cheese's are to die for... Homemade chips and fresh cut fries with some malt vinegar on them makes for a perfect culinary delight!! Highly recommend!!
Quality burger and quality ingredients!! I had the double patty and it was almost too big to pick up! The customer service was phenomenal. I also loved the wings they were great
Food was amazing along with how quickly it's in front of you! I literally had on sip of tea and my food was in front of me!
The food was great. I'm looking forward to trying that Hall of Fame burger. Staff is very friendly as well.
Took 51 yr old son there for his birthday lunch. Our server recognized us from 6 months ago. Great meal together.
Ikes’ reputation throughout the state is legendary. I finally had a chance to visit the area one Saturday afternoon for lunch. The parking lot was full and the line was out the door, but we were quickly guided inside the packed dining room and found seats at the bar. We received excellent and very friendly service. We were able to watch the grill and the fresh cutting of massive amounts of fries which was entertaining. We ordered homemade chips with the server’s suggested jalapeño ranch dressing as a dip. Great suggestion. Quickly our cheeseburgers arrived. They were huge, juicy and tasty with nice pickles. The burgers seemed to be bigger than a third of a pound and had a nice crust. My only real issue with the burger is the bread. The buns are very large and soft and didn’t hold up well to the juicy hamburger. Also the cheese wasn’t melted but that’s just how they do it. A couple of things to note: it’s very div-ey by choice. The area is a little sketchy in places. There’s not a mask in sight (the owner apparently is against mandates) and the crowd might be scary to some at first glance. But it’s all part of the experience. Everyone seemed nice. Is it the best burger in the state? Not sure. But it’s a great experience and a delicious meal. I’d gladly return to try other offerings.
