I have always loved hickory tavern but this past Saturday I was there and I ordered the Tavern Burger. It was my go to menu item, but it tasted so different and the patty even looked different. It was not good at all. I’m not sure if they recently changed their meat for the burgers but the texture of the meat was terrible. It didn’t even look like real meat. I don’t know how else to describe it. I was pretty bummed because like I said I have always loved this place and it was my go to for burgers but unfortunately that may not be the case going forward.We also got the chips and queso and that was delicious per usual at least.
Very peaceful environment. Great spot to go to unwind and have meetings or just a girls or boys night out. Love their drinks. Food is always fresh and good. Although there is sometimes a wait time ,its wourth it. Very good customer service.!!
Decent place. Was passing through working a local event and wanted some place local to eat and grab a brew. Decent tap selection. Menu looked good with variety. Ordered the po-boy; was nicely prepared. Slaw was good! Bar tenders kept the beers coming and cold. Food took a bit longer to get but locals at the bar said that was uncommon. Comfortable atmosphere and sports at the bar. Decent place for family night out in back area. Clean bathroom. I’d come again when I come back through Spartanburg!
My boyfriend and I went here last night and the service and food was IMMACULATE! Dustin was a very exceptional waiter! He made sure everything was good. I always see people complain that a lack of good service comes from being short staffed , but even under the pressure , they still managed to return great service and great food. Also GREAT drinks ? we will definitely be back. If you’re looking to simply get out and enjoy good food and good vibes , I’d recommend this place a thousand times . THANK YOU AGAIN ?
The ribeye steak and the burger lacked a little seasoning. Other than that the food was great. My little one is very picky with his chicken; he loved it and the tots! Also, the packaging of the food was good. I like that the sauce was put on the side so the buns didn't get soggy. I appreciate the utensils and ketchup provided. The only complaint on packaging is it's open bag. Maybe the restaurant could tape it up or something so I know it wasn't touched by a delivery person. Thank you guys for a good dinner! Also, a thank you to the delivery person too. It must of been hard not to eat that good smelling food!
The food was amazing, drinks great! It got 3 stars because when we first sat down, we got drinks then never saw our waitress again. Had to move tables, then Ashley was very attentive, she saved the day. I'll give it another chance.
We had to wait a long time for a table and for our food. I ordered a baked potato and it didn't come with my meal. Was told it would be 45 more minutes. I could get another side or a free dessert. Also, took a while to get refills or things we requested. I think most of the issue was being under staffed. We will keep eating here though.
Came to this location. Went to the bar, no one acknowledged my presence. A different person comes up, and then he was immediately acknowledged and helped. This is the second time this happened. The last time I waited 15 mins before someone greeted me. It’s a shame because my patients rave about the food and their good experiences. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me for thinking I too would support a local small business near mine.
Great joint, we went for a buy one get one free deal. 10/10, the waitress was super nice.
Edy was awesome, ash was awesome especially for being in the process of training. The food was fantastic and hot when we got it, the peach tea drink was delicious, so was the rum punch. We definitely found a new place to visit regularly! This was our first time, and we were pleasantly surprised that the all star hockey tournament was on, thank you again for being great!
