First time going for lunch. Chicken teriyaki with rice and carrots and broccoli. Food was great, service was good and price was even better. Will definitely be going back.
I am new in town and I ate at a free standing FUJI NEAR Westgate mall not in mall. The restaurant appeared clean. Restroom was clean. Unfortunately I ordered a lunch menu chicken with veggies. I ask for more veggies and less meat. They brought a LARGE plate of food. I plowed into it to find the chicken would not chew up so I could swallow it. I thought ok I’ll eat the veggies. I ate the 3 small pieces of broccoli ?, then I started to eat the carrots that was in a side dish with no seasoning — DIRECTLY OUT OF A CAN!!! Perhaps maybe combine with some sauce it would have been tolerable. The amount of rice I was served was enough for 4 people and a couple hungry chickens. I paid my bill (and left tip )which was very reasonable but not if you’re unable to eat more than 4 bites. I was so excited to come upon the restaurant but dissatisfied and disappointed with food. —- that’s the main reason to go to a restaurant nut negative on food for sure.
Although the amount of food I typically get for the money has changed drastically, considering inflation, and how long I've been eating here.....they ALWAYS take care of customers regardless of first time or repeat business. Dont let another local staple have to close it's doors and go give them a shot. This location is my personal preference as well.
Got takeout here for my mom who is a vegetarian... She loves the Mixed Vegetables over rice. The man who took my order was very nice and they prepared my order quickly. The dining area was bigger than I thought so I plan to come back and eat inside sometime soon with my husband.
It was just okay. I didn't think that the portions were a great value for the price. I didn't think that the quality of the food was anything to write home about. It was just okay. I needed a quick bite to eat and it was serviceable. I would go back if I didn't have another option available.
The past two times I have went to this fuji location and went through the drive through my order has been wrong. The first time I ordered teriyaki chicken and was given shrimp. The second time I ordered teriyaki chicken as it comes and was given no carrots. They need to do better with the drive through. Especially when they are given a receipt of what I ordered at the window when I pull up. I'm extremely disappointed.
Really really good service! Food is tasty and great price! The shrimp and scallop is great! Steak not bad.
Good food but they often put too much sauce on the food.
The restaurant was clean, we were seated immediately and chose our own booth, and were quickly provided our drinks along with a bowl of what appeared to be vegetable broth. We ordered the double steak and shrimp... the server stated it came with onions but it didn't. The booth seats were a little worn but the food was delicious and service was great.
Best Japanese food in Spartanburg. I love their teriyaki and hibachi boxes. And their shrimp sauce is amazing
