I normally enjoy Cook Out. This time, it was a new one, recently built, that I've never been to. For starters, I could barely hear the girl mumbling over the speaker to place my order. Sounded like she had a mouth full of rocks and peanut butter. Then, she cuts me off mid-order. I pull up to the window and ask if she heard the last part, at which point she rolls her eyes and gets an attitude. When we finally got our food, she throws her arm out with the bag and doesn't say a single word. Rude as she could be. Then, to top it off, the sides were barely even in the boxes. By that, I mean there were literally 7 pieces of okra and 5 cheese bites. Smh. My advice to this company would be to hire for quality over quantity of the employees from now on.
They're fast! You feel rushed. My order was wrong and when I tried to call their number isn't correct. I called the other location in Spartanburg to get the correct number and the "manager" there was rude. He told me that nobody knows the number and that I couldn't speak to anyone else, then said "ok I'm hanging up now." My kids like Cookout so I go for them. They're one of the few places that are still cheap. The food is okay too, we love the cheese bites. Just check your order thoroughly before you leave!
Today I waited in the drive-through at the spartanburg Reidville Road location for well over 20 minutes to place an order. I ordered two chicken ranch wraps, a side of fries, a drink and a milkshake. The total was almost $13 which I paid with a debit card and got my food in a pretty timely matter after ordering. Once I got halfway home and pulled the food out of the bag, I had a side of Cajun fries and two hamburger buns covered in chili and mustard. Number one this is the second time in the last month that I have attempted to go to this location and gotten the wrong food. Number two, what kind of food is this?!I tried to go back and go inside and make my order right, but the front doors were locked. Even after they saw me at the door, no one made an effort to the door even and see what the problem was. The drive through line was out into the road so I tried to call their phone. Surprisingly, instead of the phone even ringing, or went straight to voicemail and gave me the opportunity to leave one. Don’t worry, I did that! Im interested to see if someone calls me back. However, regardless they have lost my business for good. m not one to normally leave negative reviews, especially for fast food restaurants, because I know these days a lot of places are understaffed and it’s very easy to make mistakes. However, it is not by chance that the service is always slow and my order is completely messed up - twice in one month . If you’re going provide slow service and it’s due to being understaffed, expecting your customers to be understanding, at least make their orders correct. It’s not fair for people to spend their well-earned money and not get what they paid for and then not be able to fix it. So frustrating! I am so over Spartanburg!
Look out for the cookout they used to say. And I did just that Saturday night after returning home from a match my son had in rutherfordton North Carolina. And Let me say the food was delicious. Of course I hadn't eaten in so long that I was beginning to forget what food looked like. So I'm sure that contributed to My overall take on the place. But I must say that they were open late and there was so many cars in the Drive-Thru that it looked like the Stones were in town. Yet despite the fact that they were serving so many customers we still made it through in a timely fashion and had a bag full of food that was so reasonably priced I didn't need a cosigner. So yes by all means if you looking for a burger in your own that side of town Cook out is a good place to go.
I ordered a 2 hot dog tray and three burgers. I didn't get the hot dogs but I got everything else. My car almost overheated in that long line. This place need to tighten up. Most restaurants you could just go back and get it corrected. Not this place, you'll be waiting in line for at least another 45 minutes and it isn't worth the hassle.
I checked my order before pulling off and they were not pleasant about correcting the problem which is a first for me. First time my order was wrong at this store, and the first time the drive thru person was not smiling and happy to see me. Maybe she was just having a bad day and that's possible. But I got home and realized they forgot my son's vanilla shake so I'm going to email the manager when I finish this review so I can pick it up tomorrow.
Customer Service was absolutely horrible. Cookout on John B White Sr had adults acting like children taking the orders. They were playing so much that by the 3rd attempt of getting my order I had pulled up to place it at the window. My hotdogs were horrible. On purpose they gave me 2 burnt Frank's and no Chilli although I asked for that on my dogs. My milkshakes were given out with syrup running down the sides. No extra napkins, poor customer service, very unprofessional and because of such a horrible experience, I WILL NOT BE BACK
If I could leave no stars, I would. Because they certainly do not deserve even half of one. I ordered two large fries and 2 oreo peanut butter milkshakes. What I thought was a pretty simple order. First, the woman at the pick up window was incredibly rude. Said nothing to me after I sat at the order screen for a solid 10 minutes (not even in a line, just right at the screen). When she passed me the milkshakes, lids weren't completely on and ice cream was dripping down the sides of the cups and all over my car. I asked for napkins for the mess and she rolled her eyes and basically threw napkins into my hand. I was already over the disgusting excuse of customer service so when I drove away and found out both milkshakes were wrong, I was livid. There were no oreos and the smallest hint of peanut butter I've ever tasted in my life. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I work in food service and would never treat customers the way I was treated last night. Now I'm out $15 and have to go get my car washed to get the ice cream residue off my seats. Thanks Cook out.
I usually go to cook out because for the money you spend and the portions you get more satisfied and affordable instead of McDonald’s.. but that changed for me after today the worst cook out I’ve ever been to it’s convenient because it’s near my home and it’s nice to stop after work. But this was the worst experience I’ve had so far with fast food! Cashier worst attitude yelling for the manager. Forgot my side order of fries and when I asked her to put chili on one hot dog leave the second one plain she responded I put them both plain and looked at me like I was crazy. The manager David not accountable terrible customer service portions on food how gotten pretty ridiculous. As a side 3 chicken nuggets one looked like a cheese curb?! And mumbled to the cashier super unprofessional. I didn’t have time to argue after a 11 hour shift!! McDonald’s is better then this!! Doesn’t deserve a star
If I could give it zero, I would do it with great pleasure. The truth is that I just went and the terrible service did not give me the potatoes and the shake that I asked for, they made the knowledge that they felt like it and the one at the horrible window, terrible service, they should have staff that you really like your work and do not do it by force if I could I would give you only zeros terrible service
