I had the fried duck sandwich (picture) and it was excellent. My wife had the mushroom burger and she said it was the best burger she has had in a long time. Their sweet potato fries are perfect.
I had dinner here and ate in the restaurant. You go to the counter to order and the food is brought to your table. I enjoy the unique fusion dishes. The green curry is amazing. The pistachio cheesecake is light and pleasant. The lemon dessert is the most lemony dessert that I've ever tasted. The Thai ribs on mashed potatoes were great, but admittedly a bit tough. There was plenty of food on every plate. The best thing about the place isn't the food, but the owner. She is kind, cheerful, and generous. Chef Ae is a wonderful person who develops relationships with her regulars and will sometimes let them try out new menu items. She remembers people and provides personal attention to customers. If you enjoy Thai and French flavors, there is much to try, and I have never had anything I disliked.
I would call this place a hidden gem. I give them the 3 F's Fast,Friendly and Fresh. The hamburger was made with love it was so good. The buns are made fresh daily, the burger was nice and juice the French fries were fresh hand cut. The service was great and friendly. The food came out in a timely manner considering the freshness of the food. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.
I went for lunch here about a two weeks ago and it was so good I came back the next week. Both times I got sandwiches but they were both fantastic: Thai Garlic Ribs and Panang Pork. They have traditional stuff like Hamburgers, Grilled Cheese and Salad as well but I always go with the more unusual fare, and was not disappointed. It's another one of Spartanburg's hidden culinary gems.
Wow, totally an unexpected excellence. The Paris burger was an absolute taste treat. Their hand cut fries are easily memorabilia if not the best I have ever had. I had their Green Curry bowl with the most tender chicken, shredded to soak up an amazing green curry with a depth of flavors that will make it hard for me to dive into the rest of the menu. I need to get back there soon. Did I mention their desserts?
My son and I went for lunch after the air show today. the restaurant was pretty full. The interior was very nice, a good view of the train tracks and caboose. his order came first, mine came later, with fries in lieu of the Brussels sprouts that I had ordered, however they were quite good. in general I found the food quite good, eclectic, and will surely go back again.
The burgers were delicious and the French fries were great! We also had the French Onion soup which was very flavorful! Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!
Fried quail eggs, kimchi burger, pork ribs, French onion soup and a wonderful salad all delicious!
I have been trying to find someplace that makes a decent hamburger and believe it or not most places cannot even get this simple dish right. When I first started eating my hamburger at Chef Ae's, I told my wife "This is how everybody should be making their burgers."For one thing, they use a good bun. That helps a lot.Secondly, the meat didn't seem like it was just some frozen patty they tossed on the grill. EVERY other hamburger I've eaten around town has been just that. So I was super impressed that finally someone is doing it well. They have a lot of other great-sounding sandwiches on the menu board too. There is also a case of homemade desserts. We got one. It was really good.I will definitely be back. And soon!
My girlfriend brought me a to-go order of the tofu green curry bowl with tofu. The meal was sooooo delicious! Perfect amount of spice too. I just finished my to-go plate, and I’m writing a review, so you know it’s good! I can’t wait to try their other selections.
