Its hard to do a rating. Some things were fantastic. Other things bombed. Be aware that this is not handicapped accessible. There are at least 20 stairs to get to the second floor that are not mentioned on the website. The section we sat in only had one other table and it was over an hour before we got our food. The salmon salad was to die for. The stuffed shrimp were amazing. The parmesan fries didn't have any parmesan. The burger was overdone.
I had a very nice brunch at 1884. A very nice second floor establishment with open air and regular seating, plus a bar, obviously. I felt very comfortable and relaxed in this setting, and the pimento burger with home fries was good. Even better was the bottomless mimosa! If i lived in the Spartanburg area, i could see myself spending quite alot of time here, as the atmosphere is just what one needs after a budy day! Friendly staff also
I had a really good experience with this restaurant. All the employees were nice, they made you feel comfortable and the food was delicious. I ordered a burger and it was a bit small but the sides were a good quantity. I went when it wasn't packed and it was a good experience. I hope to see them progress & expand in the future.
More like 2.5. My girlfriend says it was a one off bad experience since she's never had an issue before but it was about as bad as bad can get. Server Brought me the wrong burger. The burger I did order was cooked to all hell but we sat almost an hour waiting for food so I didn't have time to send it back and wait for another hour. Her food was ice cold and had 3 green beans on the plate as one of her sides. The tacos and appetizer we ordered were good which is why they got 2.5 instead of 1 star. She says we'll go back to give them another chance. If it's better, I'll update this post as necessary.

The bar was beautiful, clean and lively. The food was DELICIOUS, the drinks were great and the service was nice. Our server was knowledgeable, polite and was not intrusive. Definitely recommend this bar/restaurant for a casual outing or even for a special event. We will definitely be returning!
First time here. Very nice place. Cosy atmosphere, very pleasant waitstaff. Food was wonderful. Had the grill chicken on fresh salad with an orange dressing. Hopefully will get back sometime.
Up two flights of steps. No signs on building. Just a chalkboard sign by door. Pancakes extremely dry. I ordered the poutine and eggs so overcook you almost needed a knife to cut them. Sausage gravy was tasteless and the tablespoon of cheddar was hardly noticeable. The mimosas had about 2 tablespoons of juice. Will not be going back. We were the only people over 40.
Bar 1184 is definitely a place that you want to visit! Especially if you’re a foodie!!! Lol. The food and service is great! This is my second time here and was not disappointed either time. I will be back soon. ☺️
Both my date and I ordered completely different dishes. Different sides, Different seasoning. They served us our protein (duck and filet mignon) on green beans and mashed potatoes with the same sauce for both meals. Which wasn't what either of us were supposed to get as described by the menu. I sent back my steak which was far overdone and asked why neither of our plates were as described. Our server informed us they were out of most vegetables and the kitchen just served what they had. And they still charged full price for our food. Dishonorable disgraceful service. I can tolerate mistakes but blatant scam artistry like charging for things not served will be the reason I never return.
