Absolutley the best food and service in Simpsonville.
Coooold chips everytime we come in the restaurant, broccoli burnt, waited on cheese for 15 min. (Still never came), waitress was awful!! A lot of them can not speak English. GO TO EL JALISCO FOR GOOD FOOD!!
Cheese dip!! Need I say more? Very nice staff. Good service. And it stays keen late unlike anything else in Simpsonville.
Great atmosphere!! Mexican decor everywhere!! Good was good! Service was good! ... menus had salsa on them. All-in-all, it's a really good place for lunch!!
Fast casual dining. Been here twice and it's been consistent. Prices are good. Service is fast and friendly. Food is good. We'll definitely frequent here for a quick convenient bite to eat.
Place was crowded (6 pm) and delicious food was delivered to our table less than 10 minutes after we ordered. Waiter was great. Since the waiter had a tablet, we paid right at the table. In and out in under 45 minutes on a Sat night?! We WILL be back!!
So this place was recommended to me by a good friend . I was so excited to try because I love a good Mexican restaurant! The food was amazing might I start with that ! My server spoke very very little English which I understand it’s a Mexican restaurant but being that I am in the industry I know that a large part of being a server is communicating! If my server can’t communicate with me then how can he/she give good service? He wasn’t able to understand the drink I ordered. I asked for a fresh Don Julio margarita… I have bartending experience and I see him going to make me a margarita with El Toro… YUCK ! I stop him in the midst of making because I don’t want to be difficult and waste anything ! Another coworker came by and got it right for me ! I then asked another server who’s English was better if they have Red Bull .. he kindly told me no so I went to the next best thing ginger ale .. he told me yes he had ginger ale … I ordered a Don Julio with ginger ale … I then here him tell the bartender to make a Don Julio and sprite . When I asked him about it he said no we only have sprite … I’m sorry folks but it is NOT the same and you cannot just give someone what you have without communicating and expect them to be happy with it ! My server couldn’t recommend anything on the menu to me which sucked because it was my first time there and I wanted to get the best thing !!! Unfortunately I will not be back to this establishment. I wanted to leave a lot larger tip but the service was below mediocre!!!
We got a carry out we both had a burrito and chimichanga. The food was delicious going down, but the next day my wife and I paid for it. My wife's stomach was upset when she woke up. It caught up with me about 10 o'clock. We both stayed in the bathroom all day. Luckily I was off work, but she wasn't. We had to take some immodium to stop running to the bathroom. My wife talked to a friend of hers who stated she had the same experience. After we took the medicine we were fine. I don't want a refund or anything else we are done with Mr. Jalapeño.
This place wasn't bad but it wasn't great. My wife ordered beef fajitas but got chicken fajitas. I ordered the enchiladas without any diced tomatoes and they put the most tomatoes I've ever seen on my plate.
This is a 'signature' dish in that it has the same name as the place. A blend of several proteins, all of them nicely seared. Onions but no peppers [a difference btwn this and usual fajitas. Service is good. Very casual. Good value. Dos Equis on tap.
