The service was alright, though a little slow, but they were decently busy.The real issue was the food. It honestly wasn't good at all. The meals were greasy and flavor was off.
We have tried several Mexican restaurants around town. I have to say the food at La Fogata and their customer service is outstanding!Everything we have tried so far has been sublime!! That is a big compliment for me...I usually find one dish and will not touch anything else. Don't get me wrong...I like trying different dishes, just have found that one dish is perfect, so why try more? When I do, they are generally not as good. SO, I am saying, they have great food for a special reason ?Recently tried their Signature meal...it had cactus in it and a variety of meats...will be getting THAT again!Word for the wise: DON'T ORDER THRU APP PLATFORMS. Our first experience, we did...and then had to reorder and wait. Not fun. But the food smelled SO good!! Big fans ever since!Give this one a try for the BEST Mexican food in our beautiful upstate! ?

Awesome, authentic Mexican and great staff. Go several times per month. Owners are great, management too. When you go into a Mexican restaurant and there are a lot of native Hispanics... The food is good. Super quick service as well.
Had the ceviche. Tastes great and fresh. Good portion too. I wish I took a picture of it.Fish and shrimp "cooked" to perfection. Plus the marinate and fresh ingredients (avocado, cilantro, onions, lime... etc).There are more traditional forms of ceviche. This one in particular, is pretty darn good.
By far one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to. Me and my husband both had California burritos and our son had the 4 enchiladas. The portions were huge and seasoned extremely well.
Hands down best restaurant you’ll ever go to i promise you! The food is indescribable and the customer service is impeccable, 10/10 stars! I love going in the store to see Rose, she has the sweetest heart and can brighten up anyones day i swear, and surprisingly she even knows me and my boyfriends weekend usual, never had any restaurant know my order like that so it just makes me feel special lol, but if you live in simpsonville you know about this restaurant and how it kinda is just a good vibe with good food and good people :)
Everything about this place is amazing and i could on and on about it ❤️ the service is very friendly, very very nice and good people and the food is always great no matter what you get (i love the carne asada tacos ?) they will always make you feel welcome coming in and make sure you leave with a smile❤️ best restaurant in SC easily And i swear, i looked through the 1 stars and complaints on this place and never have i ever had a bad experience here in my 3 years of going it’s always been a 5 star experience
Horrible experience, could have been a simple fix but made it worst. Ordered a grill chicken burrito, but got it with stew chicken, when mentioned to server instead of fixing it he decided to bring the whole staff to tell me that it was grilled chicken, when ask if that was the same as the grilled chicken served on fajitas he said oh no that’s another chicken… didn’t eat the food, still paid for it and left. Do not waste your money and time here!!!
The food was quick and hot, but very bland. Tacos had little to no flavor. My oldest, who loves Mexican could finish hers due to no flavor. Atmosphere was great but food could be better.
