I've been going to Wingbonz since it was Wing King. My wife normally loves the place. On Saturday night of 6/18/2022, we decided to go to Wingbonz for our usual fried pickles, beer, and tenders and wings. Anytime I've ordered wings, they have always been grilled without having to specify. We sat down, and ordered our fried pickles. When they came out, they had about 3 times the normal amount of breading on them, to the point that you couldn't taste the pickle. Also the fact that the breading tasted like there was more salt than flour. Then the server came to take our food order. I ordered 10 traditional wings, half salt and vinegar, half teriyaki. The server then asks if I wanted fried or grilled, to which I responded grilled. What came out was neither teriyaki or salt and vinegar. The teriyaki wings tasted like they mixed soy sauce with a pound of salt. Suffice to say I only got one wing down before trying to wash away the taste. The salt and vinegar wings were a different story altogether. Not only did I ask for grilled, but these wings came out fried, with one shake of seasoning on them. I thought to myself, "lets just at least try it". Getting through the amount of breading on them made KFC's extra crispy, look like nothing. The sensation of the ocean flooding into your mouth is the only way I can describe the chicken and the breading. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect 5 star quality dinning when I go to Wingbonz, but what I had that night, left a little to much salt for my taste, (no pun intended). Even my wife was highly unsatisfied with the whole experience. Suffice to say, we won't be going back to the joint. It has never been what it once was, so it is time to find a new chicken joint.
Food was great. Our server Anita was great. When we first walked in we were told to sit anywhere and theirBooth section was open. After 10 min I had to ask them to let a server know we had not been waited on. THEN we get told the booth section was not open and we had to move to another table. When I went to pay the lady at the register said I could not pay there and that I had to wait until my server took my payment. Not sure if they were understaffed with only 7 employees at that time or if the other employees were too interested with what was going on in the TV at the back to do their job.
The chicken is great. But if you get Togo orders you probably won’t get your sauce to go with yourWings and or tenders. 2nd time I’ve had to waste my time and gas after paying for food to be delivered due to no sauce. Then getting home to eat cold food. Oh and the manager is rude and offered no solution to the problem last night either . Said to dispute on Uber when they are the ones forgetting the sauce. Not Uber
Ordered my food came in and paid. Waited in line homegirl call everybody else name except mines. Got tired of waiting to see my food just sitting. I ask the girl how long my food been sitting and is it cold. She gave me the weakest i dunno and asked me if I need silverware. So pay for cold food and go home noted… fortunately I didn’t want to be the angry black girl so I let it slide and just left but whewwwww it’s crazy how people do you then want to play victim afterwards is all I know .
Waitress was friendly and place was clean. Food was basic. Cheese fries are just frozen crinkle fries with shredded cheese melted on top. Hot teriyaki sauce was not hot, nor sweet. Sweet Thai Chili sauce had a chemical smell to it and was also not very sweet. If you want good wings, I suggest eating elsewhere.
My food wasn’t ready when i came to pick It up which is understandable being new years eve so i wasn't making a fuss about that! I waited 10 mins for them to get me food and to my surprise my food was cold and salty. I tried calling back but no one answered.. awful
If I could give 10 stars I DEFINITELY would! WINGBONZ is the best place I have EVER eaten at! The wings and tenders are so wonderful! My husband and I eat here literally like 3 times a week because of our hectic schedules! The customer service is superb! The management is always on top of things! The food is ALWAYS fresh and made perfectly! Definitely the best wing place to go to in Rock Hill! The owners are wonderful people and are always so inviting!
I love Wing Bonz! I used to live in Rock Hill years ago but I have family here so I visit often! And I get Wing Bonz almost every time I visit! The last time I waited till I got home, 2 hours later, to eat & the wings and tenders were still very good! The customer service is awesome! If I ever have a problem I’m sure they would make it right! I worked in food service until I retired & let me say, the customer is not always right! There’s people out there that always wants something for free and so they would lie and say something was wrong with it just to get more food! Their policy is the same as other restaurants, if something is wrong bring it back & if it’s their mistake they will fix it! But if you messed up & ordered the wrong thing then that’s on you! I will continue to eat at Wing Bonz as long as they are opened! ❤️❤️
We went to Wing Bonz last night as part of a large cast party. It was a last minute decision and they stayed open late for our group. The food came out quick, especially for having such a large group and my philly wrap was amazing. It was my first visit to Wing Bonz but I'll be back.
This is a response to a previous review from a Ms. Kokela Funderburk. I was actually in line when this situation was transpiring. I have never had issues with this store and the wonderful family that runs it, even if something happens, if I’m nice, they tend to fix it. So I did some research on you and noticed you had a mom and asked for your followers to pray for safe travels, so I would assume you love your mom more than anything. So it took me by surprise when you mentioned about the owners mom’s declining health!! I think that it’s highly un called for and disgusting you would be so insensitive, especially over food. How sad of a human are you to be so upset about food to not consider others emotions, I would expect more from a psychology major!!! If you took your studies seriously you would know the impact of watching a loved one pass on into the next life. Also the young lady you were being mean to is the granddaughter of the lady who’s health is declining. It’s sad this world is lacking in love the least any of us can do is be understanding and tolerant of one each other . Spread love not hatred. Hope you find peace and hope you are fortunate to have good health.
