This is a review of Sonny's BBQ.I haven't been here in quite some time so thought I would do a new review of it.Upon walking in clean restaurant I was greeted by the hostess immediately who said welcome to me and ask how many were in my party which was just me and then said thank you for your service because I was wearing a US Army infantry hat.I was quickly seated to a clean booth and asked what I would like to drink by the young lady that seated me.Drink and menu came quickly along with a very friendly waitress that asked me what I would like and if I had any questions I place my order the food came quickly was correct was hot and delicious as I remember.Not really a ding against Sonny's BBQ per say however like most places the prices are just getting out of hand where a basic sliced pork plate one piece of Texas toast small portion of mac and cheese and French fries and a diet soda was approximately $17.80. so basically $22 including tip for one person to eat a full and satisfying lunch but with no leftovers.I still recommend it because everyone there was very friendly it was neat and clean the food did come out hot and fast and correctly and actually tasted delicious ?

For quite a few years, I ate at various Sonny's locations as I traveled through the South. Given COVID, it had been several years. I was glad to find a Sonny's when we needed dinner in Rock Hill. I don't know that it's "championship" BBQ, but all of our food was good as was the service. I enjoyed the meal as I always have. I look forward to returning.
My first time eating here, my one and only issue was it was freezing cold inside the restaurant. I had some of the best fried pickles, Carolina BBQ sandwich, hubby had 1/2chicken all white meat, BBQ beans. Some of the best food hands down. Service was slow, but only because of the staff shortage. Highly recommend..
Terrible experience. After a business luncheon my community group ordered from Sonny's! I knew I would visit soon because the food was so delicious.Well on Sunday March 13, 2022 my son, daughter, and I were a bit hungry and thought hey! Let's do Sonny's! Bad Bad choice! We were seated immediately, our drink order was taken immediately, and that is where everything went completely WRONG! Although we ordered drinks we got no drinks until we ordered our food and reordered drinks. We only ate our appetizers because after nearly 1 hour of waiting and everyone else (other customers) got there food that came after us. We paid for our drinks and fried pickles and left. It reminded me of why I haven't been to any Sonny's in over 20 years! No more!!! I feel black discriminated even though you have some black staff!
every time we’re in Rock Hill we always have to come to Sonny’s!! one of the best BBQ places around in my opinion!! the wait staff was very friendly and the food was amazing as always!! had the Sweet Carolina sandwich and Macaroni and Cheese as my side. and it was delicious!!! highly recommend coming here!!

Ribs were over cooked, so soft it gave it a strange texture, was something slightly off. Service was great, like most places these days they cut down on portions, like you won't notice a spoonful of this or that. But over all it was ?.
