When you go to sonic, you expect ice cream. But apparently, they're taking notes from McDonald's and deciding to have their ice cream machine down. I mean really? This is our third trip stopping here, in as many months with the NO ICE CREAM. DUE TO THE ICE CREAM MACHINE BEING DOWN. LAST TIME HERE ROCK HILL SONIC. Freddie's ice cream is much better anyways!
Service here is very horrible. We ordered on the app, waited 30 minutes for the screen to say order was on the way. Twenty minutes later I went to see what happened to my order being on the way. I was told it was being prepared and they were short staff. I observed six different orders just sitting on the table without being taken to customers. Immediate following me returning to my car, with the order that was so called not ready yet. All of our food, which obviously was sitting on the table, was cold. I will not return to this location
This spot is hiring. I chose to give 5 stars even though I left after at minimum 30-40 minute wait with no food and ppl who came after me getting food b4 me Why???? Because if I didn't HAVE to leave I would have stayed longer... I was really understanding of the situation at hand left without any malice. I was hungry but I was on a time limit .... this husband and wife Team were left alone to cover ALL the orders and deliveries to each car. I could tell she had had a LONG DAY. I even called the restaurant to let them know I could no longer stay which may have been an inconvenience but I hoped it helped. She was exhausted and maybe bc it was a nice day ppl had little patience with her. This is to say they did their best so it's worth going back. Bc she did it with a smile... talking orders and ppls attitudes. If I head that way again I'll be sure to stop through and tip her. If you read this know there are some folks who respect hard work. This place was clean. Folks did get meals. So hey something is right!
I ordered A large mozzarella sticks and a large send a snack. I was charged $11.72. After waiting 25 minutes I’ve never received my order. I called back to advise them that I’ve paid with a card at the kiosk and never received my order. The young lady tried to get me to pay for my order a second time and which I refuse. Eventually they gave me my food. It doesn’t hurt to train young employees to pay attention to detail and what cars they deliver the food to.
Literally the worst Sonic in all of South Carolina. Being slow is one thing-there’s delays insides, there are rushes of customers etc etc-but the employees here just don’t really care.I understand being young and in fast food, so I never ask for anything beyond the bare minimum-my order. I know people just want to come to work and do their jobs, fair. So get their orders right the first time so they won’t ever have to bother you again?I waited 30 minutes for an online/app order to come. The order was ONE drink….one. And it never came. They eventually just stopped answering the drive-thru stalls.
Sonic Drive-In is full of unprofessionalism. The employees are extremely rude and unsanitary! I cannot fathom the way I’ve been treated and both Rock Hill and York Sonics whether they are biting their nails over our trays or being straight up rude! This establishment needs to get shut down and Managers fired because they are just as bad!I pulled into Sonic of Rock Hill waited to order my food for nearly 20 minutes after repeatedly pressing the button. Of course our food was incorrect! I waited around 10 minutes pressing the button once again in order to get it corrected. Once I finally decided I’d had enough and went to the front window to find employee only to see someone biting their nails over the trays. I lost my appetite and left. This is not my only bad experience with this Sonic I recommend going elsewhere!
I know there was a long wait today and many customers were upset and rude to the staff. There were only a few workers doing the best they could, as fast as they could. My order was correct and the items they were out of, they substituted a different item which was fine. Despite the wait due to being short staffed, the experience was great ?
Don't know if it's the usual or a fluke, but my button reset waiting to get my order taken. Pushed it again. Then while waiting, downloaded the app and placed my order. About half an hour by this point. Screen registered me being there. 15 more minutes go by, finally says it's coming out. Five more minutes I go in and they say it's coming right out. Finally get my food and drive 6 minutes home and all the food wasn't even warm. Just room temp.
We literally came here immediately after leaving the Sonic in York, on our way home, because, get this... they got our order wrong (I know, that's a Shock these days, huh? ? lol). So, we ordered the exact same thing and repeated HOW we wanted our Hotdogs, because we had just experienced Sonic's Employees' inability to listen and follow through... with ya know, DOING THEIR JOB, not 15 minutes earlier. What do you know, they got our order wrong as well!!!! They were supposed to have Mustard, Chili, Ketchup, Onions and Slaw, but these "hardworking and underpaid" employees only managed to get 2 of the 5 right (Ketchup and Onion) That's it.* Paid for 4 Meals, but couldn't eat any of them!As others experienced, we had to press the button 8 Times! We unfortunately, heard the bigger white girl RUDELY say to the other employees "there's some white old man just standing out there! I guess he don't know how to order!" over the speaker. Go figure, my husband (who is only 50 years old BTW) is standing in front of the speaker, because we have been waiting and pressing the button for 18 minutes while 2 employees took food to 3 different people and were trying so hard to ignore us!They were so irritated when we took our food up to the door to have the proper condiments added (not even remade! Just Fixed) that they just dumped the chili and slaw all inside the containers, and ALL OVER the outside of the buns! We DID NOT ask for Extra, just wanted some on there to begin with!!Thanks A LOT for that nasty behavior, by the way!!!!So.. we still couldn't eat, AFTER visiting 2 (yes, TWO) separate Sonics, because we weren't wanting to make a mess of our vehicle nor ourselves. We had to drive 14 miles out of our way, all the way to a Subway, because it was the only thing open after this whole ordeal and we were very hungry!We won't be going back to another one ever again as we have had a bad experience at every Sonic we've been to except for one, and unfortunately, the line is always an hour to an hour and a half long each time we go to that location.It looks as though this level of "Customer Service" is our new normal Post Covid!! EVERYWHERE Sadly : (In Short; we Paid for 4 Meals but couldn't eat any of them.
