Went to Charandas in Newport tonight to grab some dinner with the family. Decided to give them another shot because last time wasn’t the best experience. Again, a terrible experience. Took them 10/15 minutes just to get our drink orders. Long story short I ended up not liking what I ordered. No big deal. I told them I would gladly still pay for it but would like to just order something else. But they took so long to check on us that everyone else was done eating. So I asked for it to-go. They said no problem. Another gentleman brings my food out on plates. I said I’m sorry but I asked for it to-go. He said okay and took it back. Then my waiter walked back out with the food still on the plates and boxes. I said sir, I’m sorry but I asked for it to go, I don’t think I should have to do that. He asked for 5 more minutes and I said no problem. We get the food bagged up a few minutes later and we leave. When I get to the truck I double check that everything is right. NOPE. Forgot 2 of the items that come standard with the dish. ??♀️ I will never go back. Never fails everytime I go I get terrible service and something is always wrong.
Tried the one in Fort Mill a few times and was disappointed. Hesitant to try this one. The 1st time was horrible! But we decided to try it again. It certainly made up for that 1st visit! Came back 3 times in 3 weeks and had excellent service and food! If you're sitting by the outside patio door be prepared to have your dinner ruined with cigarette smoke! It was overwhelming! But the seating in other areas was great. Food has been hot and delicious. Waiter and support staff were hospitable. The prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend you try this place at least once!
Came here on a Friday night, had a problem with food coming out in a timely manner. The manager was amazing! He was very attentive and fixed the problem, very professional. Waite staff needs a little training on interacting with customers
Went in at 5:45 they wouldn’t seat us told us they were closing at 6 and someone tore the sign down did not care about paying customers made my toddler cry. Will never eat at this establishment!
Consistent Mexican food. They recently expanded the restaurant and bar area. They also have an outdoor patio. Tuesdays they have excellent draft specials--$1.50 domestics!
Great food, great service! Ask for Andrea! She served us today. Got the taco salad, way more than I could eat.
It took 40 minutes for our food to be ready for pick up, on a Monday night. Go to go pay and it’s 27 dollars.. for fajitas, one taco and queso. It’s never been that expensive before! I can’t justify the wait times along with that price.
The food here is absolutely awful…I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy! Best of luck to anyone that brings their family here!

This has to be the best Mexican restaurant in Rock Hill. Bartender, Ro, is the best I have ever seen. Food is awesome and reasonably priced. Servers are super nice also. During busy times the food maybe delayed slightly but they are experiencing the same issue as every other restaurant, lack of help. All together I would recommend it to anyone that likes Mexican food and cold beer.
