These ain't your standard issue burgers! With Burgers & Barley, you're in for an adventure. You can tell they put a lot of care into their food, crafting unique recipes using quality ingredients. I had the Turkey Soprano, and never would have considered putting balsamic vinegar on a burger but it was truly excellent. I was also impressed with the quality of my side of fresh fruit!

You wouldn't know it from the outside but once inside you will be glad you went inside. The atmosphere is cool ? and the staff is great. The food was awesome (must try the donut burger) . We were passing through heading back to Summerville SC from Salisbury NC at the Cheerwine festival and we're glad we did. Will come back in the future.

After an 11 hour drive, with 5 of the last 6 being in rain, and the 11th hour was due to a series of auto accidents on our way, we really just wanted a good burger and a brew. What we’d passed on the way looked mostly like chains and we asked for a recommendation. His description, which included that even his wife, a vegetarian liked eating there, seemed perfect. It was only about 15 minutes away and we found it easily. We loved the throw back look from the moment we walked in. We were greeted warmly and taken to a small 2 person booth, which we liked. The bartender suggested a local beer that we enjoyed while we tried to decide on a choice of burger, although you can build your own. We ordered medium rare burgers and they were perfectly done. Hubs had the Fratty Melt. I ordered the Dirty South plus the Bourbon Maple Bacon sweet potato waffle fries. We ate every bite, and not just because we were hungry. Wish we were locals so we could try other items as well. If you like a good burger, you really should try this place.

We were visiting family in Rock Hill who wanted to meet up here, as they had heard they served vegan options (my husband and I are both vegan). Sadly, the only thing we could eat was a salad with oil and vinegar, plus fries. The burger options all looked amazing and they even offered a black bean burger with quinoa, but unfortunately put egg in it, meaning it was non-vegan. What a shame. They should change the recipe to exclude the egg so that vegans can enjoy a burger too. Having owned and run a vegan cafe, we know all too well how easy it is to adapt recipes to maket them vegan. A burger made from beans does not need egg, as the beans do well enough to hold the burger together.

I've eaten here a dozen times at least. Service has always been great, food has always been great, my order has always been right. On my latest visit last week I got the Blazing Arrow and fries and it was fantastic.

I always come here at least once when I am in town. Alayna was very friendly, kept us updated on the status of our order and checked on the table regularly! If you don’t get the bourbon maple bacon fries while you’re here, you’ve made a mistake! But I guess the garlic parmesan are a respectable substitute!

They can get busy, but it's worth the wait. Varied menu and food always tastes great. Friendly staff, too. Give it a try when you are in town.

The food was absolutely amazing and the service was super friendly! 1000/10, would recommend to anyone.

Fun environment, great food & drinks, and a very friendly staff.

Having had several meals here, it's a relaxed, easy place for lunch or dinner. They have a full bar and a menu you'd expect from a place with burger in the title. Great appetizers and salads too! You must get the SWEET POTATO WAFFLE FRIES with their Honey Mustard sauce - that's really all you need. I only wish I had pictures! On a weekend, get there early to ensure a table unless you don't mind hanging out at the bar. The only small negative on a busy day, it's a bit loud to hold a conversation - there isn't much to muffle sounds but that won't stop us from visiting again and again. PS They also have available Gluten Free buns that don't fall apart!
