Food is awesome but the front needs some clean up. Front looks like a store it all mess. Quite a shock to walk in to. Owners kids seem to just play around and be present. It could use some management help and clean up.
Great sushi, made with freshly cooked rice. The service is very friendly and the soups and entrees are delightful.I especially like the vegetable egg rolls. So far I think this is the best food I have experienced in Orangeburg. The outside of the restaurant needs a little sprucing up so it represents the great food they serve. The furniture inside is beautiful and authentic to the cuisine. A very charming place. We came close to closing time and we were not rushed to leave, I appreciated that a lot.
Tasty food, pretty quiet with only one other table occupied. Inside of restaurant had nice wooden furnishing. Outside needs some work...might help their business if they cleaned it up outside and freshened things up with paint and signage and landscaping.
I love Thai food...and this place . Definitely a hidden jem! THE DRUNKEN NOODLES! The best I have ever had! I dream about them! My husband and I eat here now every chance we get now. I haven't had anything from Thai Orchid that hasn't been amazing. But I always get drunken noodle to take home.
River or waiter was excellent! Food marvelous!!! Love the hand carved tables, chairs, and art work!!!Did so good we will plan a visit every time we are anywhere close. And we live 5 hours from here just traveling through!!!!
A bit on the expensive side, but worth it for something different and delicious. The Pad Thai is excellent, and a great dish to try first if you haven't experienced Thai food before. This noodle dish is a great example of the cuisine, with the perfect balance of sweet, sour, savory, and spice (as mild or hot as you choose to order it). The fresh lime wedge provides just enough juice to sprinkle over everything, and brings a wonderful brightness to the dish.
This was my first time at this place. I am vegetarian and ordered drunken noodles with mixed vegetables. What i received was noodles with some type of fish sauce. The owner was adamant that there was no fish sauce used in my food even though the waiter smelt the food and said it did smell fishy. Her blatant attitude, the poor service of everyone running around with their heads cut off are reasons why you should choose NOT to eat here.4.5 stars should be reduced to 3 maybe, and that's being generous.
I visited twice and enjoyed it both times. The food is good, and the place is clean. A bit slow, but they are looking for help.
stopped in while we were in the area looking at homes, it was great. they wore masks, food was fantastic, and the artwork and decorations inside were beautiful. this is def going to become a regular spot of ours.
Beware Food Poisoning- don’t get any food with peanut sauce, my sister got the chicken pad Thai and she got sick from it. I tasted her food and the peanut sauce they used was bad. Sesame chicken was dry and sauce had no flavor. Beef teriyaki they used cheapest cut of meat.
