We've never had a bad meal here. The seafood is super fresh and cooked perfectly! Great family atmosphere and our waitress Tracy was awesome!
Great country cooking at a very affordable price. They have a very friendly staff and many of the owner’s family members work there. Our first visit was a great experience and we are already planning our next meal when we are back in the area. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Great place. Gave my wallet a rest tonight. Two good meals for less than $25 . They move you in quick and get it done.lots of locals here that tells me it is good. If you want a good meal for a great price this is for you.
Fantastic and authentic southern food. Very reasonable pricing!Get the fried chicken. It was wonderful. I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and southern-style green beans with cornbread. So yummy!This is a small family-owned restaurant. Get there early. We were a party of 5 and arrived a few minutes before they opened at 4:00pm. There were already people waiting in front of us. But once they opened, we got in very quickly.The atmosphere is cute. We didn't go here until the last night of our vacation. We really wished we had come sooner because we would have chosen this a second time over another place.
I had the seafood platter withflounder, scallops ans shrimp, all batter fried. It was fresh and delicious! The service was prompt and cheerful. The prices were reasonable. Note that you may need to wait if you’re there at a busy time, but it will be worth it
If you want a great breakfast, lunch or dinner, visit this one! Since covid, many restaurants have raised the price, cut the service and quality of food! Well, their price has increased a little just like everyone else's. Quality and service has not been sacrificed! Consistently good service, quality and price. We love supporting family businesses and this one we really enjoyed. Every now and then you want fried seafood and I have NEVER been disappointed her. Hubby thinks it's the best broiled or sautéed scallops to be found. Always a special treat! Always has lunch specials -- something different daily, aside from the seafood that I cannot resist.
Went ride segways this morning, finished up around lunch time, I heard some go comments about the The Shack and stopped by for Lunch! They had a great Special, Chicken and Dumplings! Great home cooked food! Grandsons had the burger and one had the Chicken! All items were wonderful. Will go back to this location while down here.
We visited Myrtle Beach on a weekend trip and stumbled on this wonderful restaurant just by accident. We ordered from the daily dinner menu and we were shocked at both the very reasonable price and the amount of food we received (quite a bit). It was all really, really good. We also had great service. I would highlight recommend this place, it was very good. We had to wait about 30 minutes but that was fine. They had chairs set up outside so we enjoyed the nice breeze and read through the menu while we waited. We definitely will be back.
Great locals type place with really good southern cooking. Seafood tastes better than the expensive buffets.
