Rockefellers has been one of our must go places in Myrtle Beach for years! The chumbo is a favorite - a mix of the clam chowder and the gumbo. A bowl is a very generous portion and enough to share with a couple of people. We also really enjoyed the Calamari. For dinner we had the golfers special - angel hair pasta with shrimp, mussels, and scallops. We split this as well and they brought it out split into two bowls for us! It's a small place so there can be a bit of a wait, especially around happy hour, but it's worth it! Can't recommend it enough!
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is fantastic! Happy Hour Deals also fantastic!!! Get the Buffalo Shrimp, crab dip, oysters rockefeller, and fried shrimp!!! You won't be sorry!!! So GOOD!!!
A wonderful selection of seafood and other menu items. We had fried, chilled and grilled items..all perfectly prepared and delicious. Our server/bartender did a fantastic job even though the place was hopping. June 12, 2022--3:00 PM
The food is always good here. My wife and I had the peel and eat shrimp. I had calamari she had the crab dip. We had a good lunch. Everything was fresh and tasty. The Buffalo sauce on the side made our shrimp really good. Our waitress was really nice and accommodating. I highly recommend Rockefellers.
Long waits but fresh, lovely dishes & lots to choose from. I had crispy & delicious calamari. We tasted their Rockefeller & it was good. Crab Dip & baguettes were wonderful. Key Lime Pie was the best I’ve had lately. It’s a no frills kind of place, very crowded but the service is friendly & food is good w reasonable prices.
I was looking for a quick lunch and saw this place. I almost didn't go in because it looked kind of run down and there were no cars in the lot. I went in anyway and I sat at the bar and ordered raw oysters and some slaw and some fries. The service was top notch. the food came out quickly and was very good and fresh. I would definitely go back and try something else here another time. I like good surprises.
Packed during happy hour 4-6pm with reduced price specials like cold shrimp appetizers. Ordered broiled flounder dinner with baked potato and brocolli/cauliflower sides. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.
There always seems to be a crowd at Rockefellers - it's been around 40+ years. Very casual, good food.
Me my hubby and a friend visited this place for the HH oysters last night. I am a local and have visited this place on a regular basis. The oysters were minuscule whereas in the past they have been nice and plump and worth the trip. (waste of time for what we ordered) Upon arriving home I asked hubby for the receipt. I was outraged. The HH prices did go up to $12 a doz, but we were charged $16 a doz. I do realize a lot of the blame is on my hubby for failing to check the bill, but under the circumstances, we will never be back. We will write them off our list. Buyer beware.
Best consistent locals pub with very good food,,,grt staff,,,local crowd,,go there often since80's,,
