LOVED the smoked wings!! so much smokey flavor. ribs and pork sandwich (carolina style=slaw, mustard and onions) were great. nothing fancy here folks just good food, great service and a table. ice tea was also very good. everyone working there were smiling and friendly. great experience. thanks
I just got home from picking up my half rack of ribs order- they were wayyyy overdone and very dry. BBQ Sauce was what appeared to be a pinch of catsup and lots of vinegar. Cost was over $17.00. Their half rack was only 6 bones. I did call to let them know I was very dis-satisfied, the lady was very nice and apologized. I guess it's my fault for not looking at my order before I left. That won't happen again. Like the other posters said- I don't understand how they got 4.5 stars??
The BBQ sandwich was delicious. It was tender and moist and flavorful, not drenched in a take it or leave it sauce. They have 5 or 6 different sauces to try which should satisfy most. I did take out, so I can't comment on service except to say everyone was smiling and pleasant. I'll definitely go back.
Everything was fairly priced and good except for the ribs, sauces and seating. The sauces was either strong vinegar, grocery store like flavor or mustard with a hint of Buffalo. I know people can be particular with sauces but it's odd that I didn't really find one I cared for. The ribs lacked flavor and the membrane was still on them. Barely had any seating inside.
Great BBQ. Super flavorful and well cut. The staff is very nice! Will definitely be back!
Ordered bbq beans and chicken tenders and did not receive either. Delivery was by grubhub so not sure where the error occurred. Also asked for tartar sauce and they did not have any. Grubhub delivery was 30 minutes after original ETA but Old South is not responsible for that. Taste of food that we received was good.
Service was good. Prices good. No ribs available to try. Pork was bland with no smoke flavor . Chicken wings over cooked and dry. Hush puppies were nothing special . Don't know how they got 4.5 star reviews
Went when it wasn't busy and in the off season, and I recommend getting here fast cause when it's out it's out and it goes fast. Wonderful service and great food. A breath of fresh air from the chain restaurants. Do yourself a favor and stop in
I had 1/2 rack ribs....fantastic....the choice of homemade sauces is very nice....had them with the best beans...a flavor of its own!My wife had a delicious pulled pork sandwich with a very good homemade potato salad.The service was pleasant AND she delivered our order to our car!More NMB residence & visitors should try this local food.
Delicious and generous portion ribs. Only suggestion:They should melt cheese on nachos before adding lettuce and tomato
