The owner was ridiculous and unwelcoming. Very unprofessional and treated his staff poorly. Wait time was ridiculous for the quality of food. Wouldn’t go back.
If you’re looking for your new favorite locals spot, THIS IS IT! It was apparent that Ma fosters an environment full of pride and teamwork amongst her staff, which translates wonderfully into a delicious & hospitable experience for her guests. Order the Alfredo (and I never recommend Alfredo)! It’s creamy and flavorful, the butter, the cream, the cheese… perfection! And the mussels in a white wine sauce? Delish! Go see Ma, Marquise and the rest of the team… you won’t leave disappointed.
Great food and service in unique setting. My wife and I visited on a cooler mid-week evening in March and found the restaurant packed and bustling. We were seated after a short wait and were greeted immediately. The waitstaff was short-staffed according to the hostess who asked for our patience, but you couldn't tell with the level of service we got.The menu has a wide selection of your seafood favorites all served super fresh and piping hot. Reasonable prices and generous portions coupled with attentive service makes Hurricane's a winner for Cherry Grove/North Myrtle Beach. Make sure you add them to your list when in the area.
We chose this restaurant based on reviews. We were delighted. The waitstaff was genuine and obviously happy working there. Family owned the Mom and son have created a great place. The Bloody Mary was great. Blackened mahi-mahi with scallops and shrimp, wild rice and glazed Brussel sprouts was wonderful. The mango salsa topping was so fresh and added flavor. A huge portion. We enjoyed appetizers of scallops with grilled asparagus and aioli and oysters Rockefeller. I can see why reviewers on another site said they would return for a second time during a weeks visit to the beach.
The owners are super nice! Food and service was excellent! The deep fried veggies are the best ever! Very lightly breaded! Even Mama came to check on how our food was! We will for sure be going back.
From the minute we walked into the restaurant all of the staff was grateful and accommodating. The hostess was as nice as can be. The waitress went above and beyond and both owners stopped by the table to check on how the service was and to thank us for coming in. That really stood out to all four of us at the table and we commented that it was the most gracious restaurant I've ever been in. Then the food came out and everything was cooked perfectly. I'm glad we went and would be happy to go back anytime!!
Great atmosphere! The food was amazing! Marquise is a friendly and wonderful server! The owner/cook came out and talked with us which was a very nice touch. The hostess was very knowledgeable and made great recommendations!

Delicious food. Excellent service. Family owned (mother and son). Owner came to our table to make sure everything was good. The pork chop was a hit with my kids. We will be back!
