Our family ate here for dinner while on vacation. We all enjoyed our meals, the pork barbeque was delicious! We did ask for bread, but was told that hush puppies or a roll came with our meal, so basically we were told no bread before our meal! That was a bit strange, but at least the food was good. The burgers were large and my husband enjoyed the fried shrimp. Overall, we would recommend this place! (This review is from 2016- original account was deleted)
Cheap prices but average food. Service was good. Food was generic. Could have used some more seasoning. Sweet potato fries were delicious
This was an awesome find in North Myrtle Beach. It was close by so we were able to walk to and we also did not have to wait long to be seated. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend stopping in here if you're ever in town. We may have to go again.
Went here because I wanted seafood (well, scallops specifically) and it was rated so high on Google. We almost didn't go in because there was a line for lunch on Saturday at 1pm. But, we decided to wait and glad we did. The line moved quickly and it was shaded.Service was quick even though the server immediately told us it would be a minute before she got to us. It wasn't that long at all.I had the pick two seafood platter, got broiled flounder and scallops. My boyfriend got the fried flounder filet. Kids got seafood platters and chicken tenders. I got the large platter so I would have leftovers for dinner.Everything was great! I believe it was one of the owners that came around and asked if everything was good and pointed out the homemade tarter and cocktail sauces on the table. I tried both and they were great.The place has a "diner" feel and website says they have been around since 1948 and family owned. You can feel this vibe here, and everyone was super friendly. The place was packed the whole time we were there! The line had dissapated by the time we left but that's probably because they close at 2:30 and reopen for dinner at 4:30.Glad we decided to stop here and would recommend this place if you are looking for a low key place with seafood and options for people who don't like seafood.
A great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner. When in North Myrtle Beach, look for the golf carts. There is usually a line to get in (which is a sign of a good restaurant). The line moves quickly. The friendly and knowledgeable staff can help provide helpful ordering tips. We went for breakfast and the quality of food was great. The amount of food was more than expected. The omelet was great as were the home fries. The homemade biscuits were a treat.Service - AwesomeFood - GreatWill be a repeat customer!
Ordered Togo but was torn between Chicken & Seafood ended up decideding on the 3 Way Seafood Combination Platter. I chose Shrimp x Flounder x Scallops with side of Fries/Hushpuppies. Everything was fried great. The flounder has a light flaky batter & the shrimp were fresh! Now those scallops were melt in your mouth ?? Will def have to try the breakfast menu out one day as well. Glad I stopped in and thanks for the awesome meal.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, 3 meals a day! Yes we have done it and never disappointed. Friendly staff, fantastic food like mama and grandma made. Best seafood and Reasonable prices and always a great go to!
Wonderful hospitality. Food was great and ready fast. Great prices. I had the cheese omelet, toast, home fries, and a side of sausage. Husband had biscuits and gravy.
We visited this restaurant twice for lunch. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Also, you need to try their pies.
Had dinner with friends on 04/07/2022 while visiting North Myrtle. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive even though she had a ton of tables - she made some excellent recommendations. At our table we had a variety - Prime Rib, Fried Shrimp/Scallops, Shrimp and Grits and a special fish of the day - all 4 meals were terrific. Make sure to save room for dessert - awesome pie - keylime, chocolate cream, coconut cream - all home made and delicious!
