Unbelievably Good!! Great portion sizes at a reasonable price. Super atmosphere. Everyone was knowledgeable and nice that we came in contact with, especially our waitress Caroline … took very good care of us (party of 3). Eat there, you won’t be disappointed!!

Beautiful restaurant with great views of the Intercoastal Waterway. We enjoyed a couple cocktails at yhe bar while waiting for the rest of the dinner party. My wife's Cosmopolitan was fantastic, she said, and my Old Fashioned was outstanding. Two of us enjoyed the fresh catch Tile fish and the others loved their grouper. No sushi yhis evening due to a staffing shortage. We will definitely be back!
We went there at 4.45pm. There was wait for 1 hour 15 minutes. Hostess was someone most probably didn't like their job - very unpleasant experience with her. We almost decided to walk out after that. Waitress was super nice.Food was good. Mahi dip was delicious with crackers. Fish and chips were just ok. Halibut was catch of the day - it was cooked nicely but green beans were not cooked to our taste, a bit raw. Cajun shrimp were superb - could have been a bit warmer though. Calamari was very nice but portion size was small.Portion size was large for other dishes. It was a bit pricey for some of the dishes. Overall good experience. But be prepared to wait.
Hands down, one of our family favorites! Beautiful waterfront view, great location w many stores and activities within walking distance. Clean. Fresh food. Kind waitstaff that take the time to assure your needs are met.
Very disappointed.. I had expected much better food & service from this place. With the amount of high reviews and praise.. it just didn't add up whatsoever. We wanted to eat here one night and the table wait time was over an hour. No big deal, we knew it was a popular place and it would probably be worth it. However, we went another day for lunch when there wasn't a wait time instead. Our waitress was very sporadic and didn't know the specials, oyster varieties or anything else for that matter. They give you a mahi mahi fish dip with crackers - first three are on the house. It was probably the best part of our experience. When I had asked about the raw oyster specials, she ran down the stairs to find out the names.. but I had expected to find out more, like the flavor profile or textures. At most places that offer specialty raw oysters, this information is printed on a sheet for the guests to review on their own. I finally decided to just ask for a half dozen of mixed specialty oysters.. she said they're not offered that way. Again, this is something normally offered at other places. Not knowing the profiles of the varieties, I opted for their house oysters. A larger table behind us arrived shortly after and had the exact same conversation with their server. They asked about the varieties and the server knew nothing. They opted to ask for 4 dozen mixed, they were told as well - "we don't do that here". So they got a half dozen of each variety. When they arrived to the table, they weren't even sure which half dozen was which, they were just placed on plates and brought up. This is not the norm for raw oyster selection or consumption. When mine came to the table, there was only lemon wedges & cocktail sauce served with them - no gin sauce or horseradish. They were very small but tasty but I probably wouldn't order them from here again. My drink was in a pint glass and cost more than my half dozen of oysters. The chicken salad ordered in our party (not pictured) was simply bagged ice burg lettuce mix with grilled chicken and some goldfish crackers on top. Super basic and not worth the cost. The kids mac n cheese was just Kraft easy Mac on a plate. Didn't even include a drink or side. My daughter didn't even eat it. Why not have better prepared meals or better ingredients that match the level of dining or pricing you're trying to portray? When we got our bill, we had nearly 20$ alone in taxes. Including a tax for alcohol - I haven't seen this anywhere else during our visit in Myrtle beach. Food and service sucked all around. We won't be revisiting, it was a total waste of time & money.
Our family of 4 went to the Flying Fish on Sunday night & had a terrible experience with a waitress named Sarah. We were put on a waitlist at 6p & told we’d be seated around 8p. We left & came back at 8p & we’re seated about 8:20p. There were many empty tables & the crowds were gone. Our waitress didn’t introduce herself & was very short with us while taking our appetizer orders. We had calamari $15.99 & Ahi Tuna $15.99…both were just ok. We had finished and were waiting for our entrees with the dirty empty dishes sitting on the table for over 30 minutes. I called Sarah over & she she asked us if we wanted her to remove the dishes. They were empty, so why not move them? She was annoyed & cleared the table with an attitude. My son had ordered the seafood boil with crab legs & was disappointed with the crab. We had salads & sushi & it was just ok. We left with several impressions of the Flying Fish. First, was the long wait & the two unwelcoming women who were working the front & taking diner’s names for their WL. Our waitress Sarah, made a terrible impression by treating us indifferently while taking our orders & when she never came back to ask how things were & she left the dishes on the table instead of clearing them. What we got was overpriced & not worth the wait. With so many seafood restaurants to chose from, there’s no reason to come here & leave disappointed.
My daughter (14) and I shared a build your own boil with shrimp and crab legs. Definitely enough food for two of us. It was super delicious. So we’re the desserts (chocolate torte and chocolate cake). Highly recommend!
Nice on the water but food lacking. Grilled grouper was dry and no sauce, marinate, etc... Basically the bad way I would fix it at home... lol wife and daughter had the chicken and just underwhelming for a place with great reviews. I’m somewhat a foodie and research hawk and this one failed.
We read the reviews about the restaurant and decided it was where we wanted to go for seafood. We waited about 40 minutes to get in, no big deal, but once we got in we realized it was a huge place with lots of people and very noisy. The server was very good, not friendly whatsoever, but at least attentive. I honestly think the crab legs are better at Red Lobster, which is pretty surprising. I would not rush to eat here again.
