Awesome place to eat! Took whole family(kids 6&8). Waited maybe 15 minutes on a Sunday night around 4:30. Ordered crab legs, jerk chicken tacos, peel eat shrimp and Mac & cheese for kids. Absolutely delicious! Very fresh! Services was outstanding! Great job!
Food tastes blend. Not a lot of flavor. The biggest turn off is, for a take-out, to charge a 10% mandatory tip and a 2.65 dollar credit card charge. They were out of gator tots and does not allow for customer to try different types of meat in the tacos. This was the one and only time I’ll purchase from here.
So many issues with this place. First off, you will most likely have to pay $10 to park across the street since their parking lot only has about 15 spaces, taken up mostly by staff I imagine. When we were sat, party of 6, they put us 6 feet away from the band at a picnic table that barely seats 4 comfortably. We should have left right then. We couldn’t hear each other and the waitress certainly couldn’t hear us due to the band. My wife and I split their $29 seafood “platter” and I use that word loosely. It came with one small piece of fish, 4 shrimp and 4 oysters along with hush puppies and fries. None of it was cooked well or tasted fresh. My son got fish nachos but you’d never know it based on the surprising lack of actual fish or anything else other than lettuce which is just great for $14!!! My other son got a sushi roll that was supposed to be hot but came out cold. Our waitress basically took our order and brought our checks….never refilled drinks, was not the one who brought our food and never checked after our food was brought out to see if our food was ok. Oh and they also tack on a 4% fee if using anything but cash. But don’t worry….they let you know that they have an ATM out back which probably has a $5 or more fee. Don’t let the line outside fool you…..stay away from this place unless you’re just going for drinks and live music.
We looked this up and randomly decided to stop by and we weren't disappointed. They live music was actually good! The food was great and you couldn't find a better atmosphere anywhere around!
The seafood selection was just right and not overwhelming. The boils were delicious, fresh and plentiful! Our waitress was attentive and had a couple of great zinger joked. Haha!
Love this place! Went here twice with the family on our week vacation. Each time did not disappoint! Highly recommend, the food was AMAZING!
We went for dinner on a Friday night. There was five of us. We got there a little bit before 5:00 p.m. there was no way. The server got to us very quickly took our order. The food and drinks were all very good. The only negative was that our server was chewing gum the whole time that she waited on us. That was a little annoying but not a deal breaker. Would highly recommend this place.
We were told 45 minutes to an hour for a wait, which wasn't a surprise. It's June right no the beach so we expected to wait. We were told we could go to the bar order a drink while we waited. We were ignored at the indoor bar after waiting a while so we went to the outside bar. We got no service there either. The staff wear t-shirts with some ridiculous political nonsense about COVID on the back. Politics and business don't mix. We decided to take our name off the wait list and take our business elsewhere. We went up the street and found a spot at the bar at Duffy Street right away and the food there was good. We will be back there, but won't be visiting Buoy's.
We returned to NMB after two years and immediately decided we wanted to go to Buoys. Easy walk from our hotel, great happy hour prices and food is good. Not only did we go twice during our stay, but so did friends of ours we recommended it too. I love the fish tacos, and my children liked the mahi mahi fingers. Go early or there will be a wait.
Our trip was coming to an end and we still hadn’t got any good seafood. My buddy recommend Bouy’s on the Blouevard…I’m so glad he did. Checked all the boxes, food was great? price was right and best of all our waitress Peggy was amazing , so helpful and patient. Will definitely make this a tradition. ❤️
