Went are here on our last trip. The wait is always 30 min plus even if you get there before 5 as they recommend. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. We had some raw oysters and even though it's July they were very good. I get those almost every place I visit that's on the coast and these were on point. I had a boil mix plate. I will say not worth getting. Just order the crab legs. HUGE shellfish fan and these were cooked just about prefect with really good flavor. Shrimp were ok. Well cooked, but still I'll order just the legs if we come back. The rest of the basket, mediocre at best. Oh yea, we had fried calamari, it was good but not great. Overall, a great big menu with lots to try and for different tastes, great staff. A bit pricey for what it is, wait is crazy and parking sucks. Worth to try but not sure about a 2nd time.
Boardwalk Billy’s is a great place to visit when you want to enjoy great food while eating outdoors, enjoying live music, views of the waterway leading to the intracoastal, and seeing the occasional watercraft making it’s way to the ocean. Billy’s has a great laid back atmosphere out on the deck that is well shaded by trees for a pleasurable evening of dining outdoors. The menu has an extensive list of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, baskets, and combination entree platters with BBQ ribs, chicken, seafood and steak. They also have crab legs, steam pots, low country boil, and oyster roasts to try. Your sure to find something that appeals to your taste at Boardwalk Billy’s. I recommend that you try the fried green tomato appetizer for a starter. In addition, the fried platter was a solid first visit entree that allowed me to sample the crab cake, shrimp, and oysters prepared the Boardwalk Billy’s way, and it didn’t disappoint. My wife was also quite pleased by her combination rib and shrimp entree. We decided to later return on another day and try some of the sandwiches. My wife and I both loved our sandwich choices. The Mushroom Swiss burger is one of her favorites and mine is the Oyster Po’ Boy. Boardwalk Billy’s also provides complimentary roasted peanuts in the shell to snack on while you wait, and they taste good and fresh! Met family 9 people at billy's 4thof July weekend, our server Taylor was great, personal, professional, friendly, efficient. She is awesome.
Walked in and were seated. Service was prompt and friendly. Atmosphere is fun. Food was great. Our party ordered a variety of items and all were excellent. Would come back again if ever in the area!
First visit: Such a nice back deck. Definitely will be back. Sushi was good and they have happy hour from 4-7. Our server was sooo sweet. Really good food. We will definitely be back.Second visit: Had the shrimp with pineapple salsa again and really good sushi! They ran out of coffee...which I know is an odd request for dinner at the beach but to be "out" and not just make more is odd. Tables around us all got food in a 40 min, 1.5 hours we still didn't have our main dish. We requested to pay for what we had and please just go because we needed to. Manager came over and made everything right but I felt like he was feeding me a line with the kitchen being backed up. When I pointed out wait times for the tables around us he back pedaled and said the kitchen misplaced our slip...which happens but don't feed me an excuse that isn't correct.We will still be back to give them one more try because the food was that good.
Fun outside bar and eating area. Good food quality and the beer was cold and fresh. Server “Leah”? was very awesome friendly efficient and overall excellent!! Casual atmosphere.
The Happy Hour specials were great. This place offers great food with great service and atmosphere. There are so many different things to eat here. You could easily come here for a month and have different things.
Inexpensive and promptly served, we enjoyed a delightful dinner experience in a relaxed outdoor atmosphere. Our server was courteous and helpful in describing certain meals and suggesting delicious adult drinks! Best piña colada I’ve ever had. Appetizers and all 6 dinners were spot on; thank you, Billy’s!
Great setting and decent food!Had dinner at Boardwalk Billy's for the first time. Over all a good experience. The service was quick and very friendly.My wife and I started with sushi as an appitizer. The sushi was better than I had expected. Rolled well. Although, maybe a bit small. We purchased during the happy hour discount, so no complaints.I also had the chilli as a starter. Chilli was very good! For my entree, ordered the fried flounder with fries and hushpuppies. Flounder was good.Definitely worth a visit. Especially if you sit out by the water on a nice day.
