After being at the beach the entire day, our group wanted pizza simple and fast... we attempted to call the restaurant but was always busy (we expect that is from being busy). We did order online through door dash. The meal was ready within time specified. The pizza was delicious... hot... fresh for us. Nothing fancy but good. Service was friendly (smiled and assisted me when needed). I would recommend to anyone...
Basil’s is a wonderful little staple for my family and I every year we are in Cherry Grove! We look forward to stopping by and getting delicious pizza or a fresh oven sub. From the hostess to the servers, everyone is attentive and friendly - not to mention fast. I would highly recommend this little dive to anyone looking for a quick, affordable bite.
We went to Cherry Grove for our first family beach trip, went to Basil's for dinner one night at the recommendation of a few friends. It did not disappoint! Our server was attentive, the food was quick, and the best pizza I ever had...and at a great price! Will definitely be a go-to anytime we go back.
I don’t understand why people say this place is good. We placed an online to go order and showed up 10 minutes LATER than the stated time of completion. FORTY MINUTES LATER, we finally received our order of 2 pizzas. The place was filled with people waiting to pick up to go orders because apparently the app just keeps letting people order and not adjusting the wait time. The pizza smelled good. I wish it tasted as good as it smelled. The sauce was bland and definitely didn’t taste scratch made or fresh…maybe from a jar. The crust had ZERO flavor. The ONLY good part was the toppings. Oh and the pizza is ridiculously priced. I make pizza and I know how cheap it is to make. This is just another crappy restaurant preying on tourists with high prices for mediocre food and horrible customer service. Just order Papa John’s….you’ll thank me!
After having a horrible experience across the street at another restaurant that pretty much turned us away, we went to Basil's and was a great choice. We were a rather large party of 9 and were seated immediately. Service was fast and excellent. Food was great. Our waitress was AMAZING!!! She earned the tip she received that's for sure. If your looking for a great place with great service, great food and exceptional waitstaff you need to check this place out.
Pizza is my favorite food so I don't give this review lightly. IT WAS DELISH!! I could've eaten the whole thing in one sitting. Yummalicious!
We sat outside and were very impressed how clean everything was. All the shakers were wiped down, no tackiness on tables or seats and everything very organized at the work stations. The thin crust pizza was tasty and served with proper toppings and hot. Waitstaff cheerful and efficient. It was a big hit.
Used to be a good place to eat a slice or order a whole pizza. Ordered a pizza to go and I would of rather taken a frozen pizza out of the freezer to cook. Would of been better. Pizza was dry and seemed like it was one of those pre made crusts you add topping to. $15 for what they called a large plain pizza that mostly got thrown away.Also, the girl checking you in was not a pleasant person. Staff inside were very friendly. Dont know what changed there, dont know that I will give it another chance.
A wonderful place to visit, so happy we stopped in, the wings were amazing, the mozzarella sticks were perfect. The pizza is the best I’ve ever had, freshly graded mozzarella.. and the owner is wonderful. You can find her behind the register answering phones and running the show! I look forward to many more trip here!
The best gluten free pizza I have EVER had! Wonderful flavorful and the crust was the perfect balance of chewy/crispy. Even the non-GF people in our crew said it was delicious. I wish I lived in town and could get it every weekend! And the regular pizzas (cheese, meat, and shrimp scampi) were given rave reviews by everyone too!
