I have eaten here for years and I am never disappointed. The customer service is impeccable, the atmosphere always welcoming and the food is absolutely perfect every visit. I always order the smoked wings (they are to die for!), cooked to perfection with mouth watering spices. They have tons of sides to choose from, and all of them are yummyyyy.... oh! and you must order the banana pudding. The restaurant is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of free parking and they accept Apple Pay! I definitely recommend Willie Jewells and can't wait until my next visit! brisket was very tender and juicy, sausage had a great flavor. corn fritters, corn bread, coleslaw were all very tasty!! The entire staff was very friendly and helpful!!
Very good bbq and the Macaroni and cheese was very good, baked beans and collard greens was awesome,. Loved the Memphis sweet heat sauce was the bomb.

Tonight I called down there and the phones were not working. The automated operator said the phone number was disconnected. I drove down there anyways. Amazing pulled pork and brisket.
We got takeout for a family gathering so I cannot speak to how the restaurant handles dine-in. Takeout went smoothly and the food was delicious. Chopped pork, baked beans, Brunswick stew, and fries. Pork was finely chopped and had no fatty pieces in it. Brunswick stew was different than most I’ve ever had. Darker in color, a little spicy, and full of corn, okra, and butterbeans. I mixed it with the pork to cut down the spiciness. Overall a satisfying meal with good portions and great flavor.
Willie Jewells Old School BBQ on University Boulevard in North Charleston has really good BBQ and sides that are delicious and flavorful. I like just about everything on the menu, but the ribs and brisket seem to be my favorites. It is good to have a nice BBQ spot in this part of town and they consistently come through with well prepared food for you when you need it. I have had a really good food experience every time I have been here and have left happy with a good meal.
Very small place in a strip mall. Eady access from I-26. BBQ was excellent & they had corn fritters. Prices were good and the food came out quickly.
