I never expect to be pampered at Waffle House, but I do expect cleanliness; not just here, but at all restaurants. I sat at the counter to order and eat and I was literally the only person in there for most of my meal. I started looking around and began watching the cook. He wore the same pair of gloves the entire time I was in there despite his occasional cleaning (I use that term loosely) and cooking. I couldn’t begin to tell you the last time the cook and prep area was cleaned. Caked up grease under the cooktop area, the cooking surface was blackened with grease build up around the edges. The pans being used weren’t any better. And when he removed the waffle from the iron, yep, he used his gloved hand. I did not realize any of this as I began putting the food in my mouth. I didn’t realize it until I was halfway through my meal. So I gave a 2 star rating because, despite all of that, the food did taste good up until that moment of realization. So far, no food poisoning.
I went there once and ordered grits with cheese and the grits tasted half cooked. I decided to go there again and give them the benefit of doubt because I thought maybe it was the cook. The second time was months later and the grits were still half cooked and I had absolutely no butter on my toast! Never going back!
Never gets the order right and I always pay extra for stuff and never ever get it. I would never get the hash brown bowl without the chili or onions now stuck with a big fat bowl of hash browns. Stay away from ordering Togo
Attempted to dine-in this morning, but it appears this location is only taking Online Orders at this time. There were 3 staffs members just chilling by the register appeared to just be kicking it when they could be serving paying customers.Last month when I stopped at this location there was only 1 section open with 3 tables.I wouldn’t waste your time with this location.
When I got to the restaurant on North Rhett I was told that they were ONLY taking online orders.. that was a lie there were five other people behind me when I order online in this restaurant their food that prepared before my order when I placed my order it was 12:55am online it said that my order would be ready at1:16am and I’m still waiting on my order and it’s 1:22am and here it is 1:26am because she missed placed my order ticket that WAS PLACED ONLINE…. Wait wait skipped a part the lady that works there HER SON WAS THE ONE THATS SAID MY MOM AND STEPDAD SAID THEY ARE ONLY TSKING ONLINE ORDERS!!!!

This waffle house is a great location for park circleers just around the corner for a late night meeting with some food. The staff are dope and the foods even more dope. It's cooked the waffle way.
