Been waiting to go to the Tattooed Moose and finally had the chance on our visit to Charleston today. We were not disappointed. Tried 3 of the sandwiches they are known for. The Duck Club, the Low Country Cuban and Lucky # 1 Sub. All were delicious, but, our favorite was the Lucky #1. It’s Chinese pork belly, kimchi, mayo, fresh veggies and Serrano peppers with rice wine vinaigrette, cilantro and green onions. It just all went together so well. We also had the corn dog basket, Brunswick stew, chili and street corn. All very good. There is indoor and outdoor seating and eclectic decor with graffiti everywhere. We even wrote our names on the table. Service was excellent. Overall a fun experience.

We were excited to eat here because I am a Triple D junkie but it just didn’t measure up to the hype. Our server Ashley was great! The filling for the Philly egg rolls was pretty sparse. We also ordered the duck club, thanksgiving sammy, duck fries and street corn. The street corn was the best out of all of it. I could have licked the dish clean of the sauce. The duck club was good but the bread got soggy pretty quickly. The duck fries were soggy and the turkey sandwich wasn’t super flavorful. All and all an okay dinner, but we will try something else on our next trip to Charleston.

Following another endlessly boring drive home from a visit with family in Pennsylvania (and at $4.65 a gallon to boot), my wife noticed the look of famishment on my face (is that even a word?) and suggested dinner at TM, highly recommended by one of our Hipster friends. Needing to hit the Men's Room, I was quite shocked by the comments covering the walls (management hands out Sharpies at the tables). I'm not a prude, but I have to question the character of folks who write such things. It was something you'd expect to see at the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 11th Ave back in the 70s. Ugh! Since it was a nice night, we decided to sit outside on one of the benches (also covered with inappropriate comments). We were serenaded by a trio on stage whose magic trick was turning any song including one by the Stones into a Bluegrass version. Enough said. A very friendly server, greeted us warmly, then took our drink orders and left us to peruse the menu, chock full of artery hardening choices (my favorite kind of menu) and refreshingly, they don't serve Shrimp and Grits! Now I digress. I used to work with a religious whack job who fervently believed in "signs" preceding the End of the World...earthquakes, hurricanes, pestilence, war, Orioles winning the World Series, etc., (which truth be told, happen each and every year regardless of one's religion by the way - except for the Orioles part of course). I now wish to add another one of these "signs" to the list... JUMBO WINGS - MKT PRICE was included in the menu. We're not talking LOBSTER folks! We're talking WINGs! It was an OMG scary revelation that our economy is seriously screwed up! On a side note, TM is another one of those Low Country restaurants that choose not to include fries with their sandwiches, instead believing that customers would prefer God-awful kettle chips or pork rinds. TM does offer a basket of "DUCK FAT" fries for three bucks and change, but they're nothing to write home about, being of the thin shoestring variety, extremely greasy and soggy tasting! On the other hand, the SHORT RIB CHILI and SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN SANDWICH were exceptional. All things considered, the food, service, beer list and value are okay, but the overall atmosphere/vibe (& Sharpie policy) made this old white guy feel about as uncomfortable as Barry Goldwater at a Neil Young concert.

Oh my what a great place! Food was good and service was good. The beer selection was very nice! I had the MIKE'S FAMOUS DUCK CLUBTriple decker filled with duck confit, applewood smoked bacon, and hickory smoked cheddar, topped with garlic aioli, lettuce, tomato, and red onion on sweet Hawaiin bread it was so good!

Understand that people are short staffed but when a customer comes in with MULTIPLE missing items, you do not argue with the customer especially when I have photos of the wrong order.Honestly, will not be returning here. Truly want a refund but I don’t want to return to the establishment. Called for a togo order but they replied and said they only do orders at the bar. Not sure why any place wouldn’t have an option for pick up orders to begin with.My husband went in and placed the order for the $17 duck sandwich and the burger and 1 large basket of fries with gravy, and fries w/ both of the entrees. What we received was a plane duck confit sand which no bacon, no pickles, no pork rinds that comes with it.The burger also was missing pickles and pork rinds.Instead of receiving a large order of duck fat fries we received 1 side of fries. We also didn’t t receive any sides with our entrees. So all in all we were MISSING bacon from the duck sandwich, 2 sides (pork rinds), 1 large basket of fries, 1 large basket of gravy fries. When my husband went back in and told the bartender he ordered from the missing stuff he proceeded to argue that we had the “old” menu but yet he asked us “oh you didn’t have any pork rinds in the orders?” which means he clearly knew he had messed up and instead of saying sorry I misplaced your order when putting it in…He tried to tell my husband that he was going to charge us for the gravy when HE messed up.If the manager wants to reach back out please do, because I’m thoroughly shook that anyone who’s order was missing 4+ items can be questioned. Pictures for reference of my lackluster missing ingredient $17 sandwich….

Food was amazing! Atmosphere was casual and fun! Prices were great , and all the servers were super friendly! Can’t wait to go back!

Great service, great food, great atmosphere!

I went for the Grand Opening of the PC location... I will tell you it exceeded my expectations.. the bar staff, the host and servers were above and beyond accommodating... drinks were quick and I can honestly say some of the best wings I have ever had... this is going to be a great staple and addition to the Park Circle Community!! Well Done!!

I'm only making this a 5 star review because it won't let me do more. Visiting Charleston, this was my first stop. It literally set the mood for a fantastic trip. I immediately loved the decor and the bartender could not have been nicer. Ordered Mike's Famous Duck Club, which I'd been told I HAD to, by the coolest couple at the airport bar (turned out to be the owners, Mike and Jen Kulick). Eating the the sandwich was a religious experience, it was so good. The bartender was great as was the beer selection. All in all, I could not recommend the place more.

Wow!!! The tattooed moose knows how to cook up a burger. I got the brunch burger and I highly recommend it for those who like unique and flavorful burgers! A bit messy but I like it that way! Give it a try!
