This is the real deal place for great food! Went on 5/29 had Seafood rice with turkey wing along with okra soup and it was DELICIOUS!The emoyees are the sweetest ever, very friendly and inviting.It may be a good thing that I don't live in Charleston or I would be there daily.
Visiting Charleston there are so many great restaurants to choose often its a matter of something new, or something tried and true. We chose something new but familiar. Gullah cuisine is generally always good, but varies in complexity of flavor, seasonal availability and family traditions that reflect that history. The food at My three Sons reflects not only that rich variation of culture and subtle yet delicious generational preference in flavor but one that elevates the customer to the status of an honored guest visiting family for a special occasion.
We enjoyed my three sons on a Sunday afternoon. We had the seafood rice with both fish and chicken. it was really yummy! The chicken was AMAZING.I am super glad that we tried them, and we will certainly be back!

Ok...I went to this establishment today with hopes of trying some great food and having a great response. Unfortunately that didn't happen. On arrival and entering the business, I was immediately told that I needed a mask to be in the business to keep everyone safe. This is as the same employee working the front had her mask under her nose the whole time. There was another couple that walked in behind me without one and they chose to leave the establishment. Since I did not want an issue, I retrieved one from my vehicle. I didn't have an issue with the mask since I am always respectful of the business requests, but when the employee asking thinks that only her mouth can spread covid, that is unacceptable. When I re-entered the business, the same employee was coming from the kitchen and I could see that there were several employees with no mask at all and one with one pulled down below his mouth. As I stood there shaking my head, my order was made and retrieved with a feeling of take it and go. The fried fish was cooked crisp, but lacked taste and the rice was over-cooked due to some of it being hard and the scallops/shrimp being rubbery. My intent was to try a new restaurant that appeared to provide good soul food, but the attitude and hypocrisy of the staff did not make me feel welcome as well as the quality of the food was not what I was told to expect.
The food here was soooooo good. This was our first time going here And it was AMAZING. I chose this place on a whim and they did not let me down. I ordered the fried pork chop meal which is 3 side and a meat. My sides were baked Mac & cheese, rice and gravy, and green beans. It also came with a complimentary cornbread. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The pork chop was very juicy, great beans were great, rice and gravy made me scrape every drop off the plate, and the Mac & cheese was great.My 3yr old picky eater had just rice, green beans, and a fried chicken thigh. She actually cleaned her plate. I mean pulled every piece of meat off the bone, which is something she never does with takeout.My husband had the Turkey wing dinner and he loved it and he's not easy to please at all.I highly recommend this place!
We came down from Spartanburg to celebrate a birthday this weekend and she wanted good soul food. I’m so glad we found this place Lord this food was so good it feed our mind, body and soul. All 4 of us went back for a second plate before we left. Please try this place you will not be disappointed at all. Everything was seasoned to the Gods lol we tried everything that was on the menu lol true foodies.
I'm writing this from the lobby..this food delicious! The yams, turkey wings, greens, beans, potato, tomato..YOU NAME IT! Then they have Good times playing on the tv ... clearly they love me and wanna get married ???
This place has some good food! The chicken perlo was good. The Mac and cheese was good. The collards and fry whiting fish was good! I like that it didn't taste fishy. The batter was nice and crunchy but the fish inside was good and flaky! I'm definitely going back.
It absolutely hurts that I have to leave this review. I have been going here for years. The food is good. But the workers tend to have a nasty attitude. They don’t like to answer the phones. In particular today, I was told by the lady working there that “I got on her nerves” Under her breathe. Because she got my order wrong. Absolutely no big deal as I understand mistakes happen. I politely told her I would pay for the side she missed and She slammed the drive thru window in my face. You have lost a very loyal customer. I am always polite to them no matter their attitude but today was the last straw.
