My experience with Crazy Dutchman Catering was outstanding from the very first contact. I had a very quick response to my initial inquiry, and the communications continued to be thorough and prompt throughout the process. I had to plan my event long distance, so I very much appreciated the wealth of information on the website and the responsiveness to my questions.The staff members responsible for setting up and serving at my event were exceptional!! (Shout out to Samantha, Big John, and Cocoa!) They were friendly and efficient, and paid attention to every detail. They saw to every need from my guests, allowing me the freedom to just enjoy the party.The food was also excellent! From the boiled peanuts starter to the pulled pork, low country boil, and the yummy key lime tarts, everything was delicious!! If you have a special event in Charleston, you need look no further than Crazy Dutchman!

We used CDC for catering and full bar for our wedding and could not have been more pleased! Hans, the owner went above and beyond to ensure that our needs were met and the food was delicious and the staff was hardworking and fun to work with! He answered all of our phone calls, emails, and even attended our event to ensure that everything ran smoothly which spoke volumes to amount of effort and love he puts into his business. If you are in the market for a caterer, immediately book with the Crazy Dutchman! They make the wedding process easy by providing both food and bar and we would highly recommend them to any friends and family for future events.
I cannot say enough positive things about Crazy Dutchman Catering. I have been using their services for years - for work events and outings to personal parties. Suggesting and recommending them to others, is a no brainer! The food is always delicious, and set up by a team who knows what they are doing and are professional about doing it. The display and food always looks and tastes top notch! Thank you again to the team for helping me have a great "Parking Lot Party" outside in the sunshine for my co-workers and I!
From the start of planning a wedding to serving the day of, the staff at Crazy Dutchman did not disappoint! Everything was absolutely delicious and the guests were raving about how good everything was. All the servers did an awesome job in putting the food out and picking up used plates and disposing of them. Thank you to Hans, Samantha, Rianna, Lizza and all of your staff involved in helping make Jason and Taylor's wedding an event to remember. I haven't gotten pictures of anything yet but when I do I will try to share!
The food was delicious but this was the worst experience I have ever encountered with a vendor. First, know that they only provide white plastic plates- something we were not made aware of from the beginning. We were also told that they would leave the reception after the cake was cut. Our venue had an agreement that all vendors had to stay until all guests left the property. I pointed this out and from that point on, communication was very difficult. We were charged an additional $350 for a late fee, which I found excessive, and $125 for plastic plates for the appetizers and desserts (Also believe this was excessive since they did not supply plates or utensils for the buffet). I definitely felt that we were taken advantage of, since we could not have found another caterer at that late date, which I am sure they were aware of.
We could not have selected a better caterer for my daughter's wedding. The staff was professional, and the food was delicious. Overall, they were outstanding!!!
