What can I say? The grass-fed beef patty burger was amazingly good and worth the upcharge. The fries seemed hand cut and fresh, crispy and tasty. I did add salt to them. I liked the layout and there was plenty of outdoor seating as well. Seems like a franchise in the making
First time trying this place out. We were very impressed! The food and sauces were excellent. One worker took the time to tell us about the place and answer our questions. She checked on us throughout our time dining. Would definitely recommend. Will be back!
First time visiting Come Back Shack, Mt. Pleasant, SC. Wonderful doesn't begin to describe the experience. We were greeted at our table by a manager who ensured everything was satisfactory, and pointed out their home-made Ranch and Come Back Sauce. They were To.Die.For. and kids enjoyed the Cajun Chicken Tenders. Never had anything like it! Topped it off with a Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake for dessert--very unique flavor ice cream! On our way out, the manager even gave us a free jar of their freshly made, in-house dill pickles, YUM! Highly recommend this fast casual family restaurant! Wish you would open one in Richmond, VA. We'd easily be regular customers. Don't miss this gem.
I have been by this place several times and decided to stop and eat there today. It cost me almost $11 for two hot dogs and some fries and a drink. What fries were edible and not overcooked we're pretty good, the hot dog was terrible there was hardly any chili on it and the bun was cold. I only took one bite I am not going to eat any more of it. But I must say the sweet tea was really good.
This is the place! If you are sick and tired of the awful things that pass for burgers at fast food places you need to get over to Come Back Shack! Not only do they have a full array of excellent burger recipes to choose from you can get any of them built with beef from a LOCAL SOURCE. That's right. You can eat local at this joint! Plus you can order a custom burger using any of their multiple topping options. The fries are just WOW. I suggest getting a side of ranch to dip if that's your thing because sauces are made fresh too. While you might not pay McDonald's prices, these days the difference between one of the substandard "value meals" and the good good from CBS is only a few dollars more. The quality says it all, when you eat it you understand. Go! It's time to eat!
First visit here. Found the burgers quite delicious, albeit on the small side. The chicken tenders box was a huge portion though (especially for only $7). They also had huge servings of French fries -- Seasoned Fries & Cajun Fries -- which were perfectly seasoned and very tasty. You can get the pretzel with cheese sauce &/or a small cup of Nutella -- amazing! Drinks were also very good. Employees were nice and fast. We're definitely coming back!
Anytime I'm around the vicinity of this restaurant I always have to stop in! The prices are moderate but expect to pay somewhere around $40 for three people. That being said, you must try the ranch style fries! They are truly out of this world and highly addictive! Pair that with a delicious premium burger and a homemade seasonal shake and you have yourself a meal well worth the drive and price!
We REALLY enjoyed this meal. Kids went back for seconds. It's a good burger joint, with fries, chicken, and shakes. Add chili and about a zillion toppings and this "simple" offering gets pretty interesting.Single burgers are a good size. Not overwhelming. Doubles get up there. Portions are generous. Tea is excellent, like Summerville quality. The Nutella pretzel is something else entirely.Go.
Been debating this review. I miss the actual veggie burger they had. The fried green tomato sandwich is good, when it's not burnt or soggy and almost raw. Gave them another go after my last 2 orders were wrong (vegan burger but they put bacon, extra mayo and extra mustard when I said no mayo or mustard and never asked for bacon, or the vegan burger that emerged being a double cheese burger, even though my ticket clearly said come back style vegan). Tonight, my vegan burger was delicious. But the fries were awful. Soggy from grease, but burnt at the ends? How? Ive worked fast food and am currently a food and beverage manager. I understand being short staffed or whatever, but this is ridiculous. I did better as a teen at Burger King, and I hate BK, before and after working there. I know they don't really care about losing a customer, but it's a shame because I fell in love with their food at the Boone location.
Too expensive for a regular burger. $7.99 is too expensive just for 1 burger no fries or drink
