I ordered using for dashThey only gave 2 oxtails for the oxtail meal and the food was very salty. The price isn't matching the portion. DO NOT RECOMMEND
I try to only go to black owned businesses like this one. Chicken was kind burnt up. Taste is ok. Maybe next time I will get the shrimp if I come back. Keep it up fam
Love the Jerk Chicken bowl. Spicy which is a rarity to most Carribean places around Charleston(So if you don't like Spicy stay way from this). Plantains cooked to perfection. This is my second time I have ordered from here. I also ordered the crab and shrimp rice but haven't tasted it yet, I'm still full off the jerk chicken bowl. Will review the crab and shrimp rice later but for now they are good to me.???
Great portions for the price! Unfortunately I had to give 2 ⭐️⭐️ for flavor and tenderness of the oxtails.
Food was very average. Chicken tasted burnt and the sweet potato fries were pretty bland. Tacos were fairly good though so I’d get those again if I hadn’t been treated so poorly. The guy in the truck was a jerk. I asked him what’s good and he said “whatever you like”. Okay, fair enough. But then I asked him what something was on the menu and he literally told me “just read”. It didn’t explain what it was on the menu so that really didn’t help. He made me feel really stupid for asking questions about a type of food I’d never had before. Needless to say, we won’t be going back due to the customer service alone. I really don’t appreciate being talked down to.
The Charleston Caribbean Creole Food truck was amazing! The ladies provided excellent customer service with a SMILE!
Absolutely worse service for the newlyweds Tequilia and Orlando’s! The service was not to what they expected and pay for. They did not feed guest in a timely manner, not to mention when they did some foods were cold. This couple deserves an apology for having to deal with this on such a special day.Do not recommend!
I had the Crab Rice..Absolutely Delicious
Good morning, this establishment and food truck seems hit or miss not consistent at all. I was at the food truck and nothing to right home about. The yellow rice was dry and tasteless, I had the coconut shrimp which is an ok frozen product. Jerk chicken was good but not so much jerk, nothing was speaking out to me, CARIBBEAN! Also tried the jerk chicken po'boy, ok......not sure if I will try it again.
Before I ordered with door dash I called the restaurant and I specifically asked can you please take off the carrots, plantains, and beans. He said yes he could. I then specifically asked can I have only oxtails, rice, and gravy. He said yes. He told me to put it in the special instructions section. We ordered online immediately. I received crunchy rice, salty oxtails, NO gravy, unwanted carrots and unwanted plantains. When I called to complain he said the cooks didn't know what I meant. I politely reminded him he was the middle man (he said he was gone to the store ?) and if couldn't prepare it the way I wanted he should have told me before I placed my $50 order (with DD tip). I would have appreciated that, and respectfully ordered from somewhere else. Also, if he needed me to talk to the cook he should have handed him the phone. I am Very disappointed in this dinner after working a long 12 hour day!
